ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP
The English U18 Championship played by 72 holes of stroke play over three days and is open to English golfers under the age of 18 on the 1 January 2023. Please see the Terms of the Competition for full eligibility criteria.
A maximum if 66 boys and 66 girls will play 18 holes on each of the first two days. After 36 holes the leading 40 competitors and all those tying for 40th place shall play a further 36 holes on the third day.
NEXT YEAR'S VENUE
Hesketh is the oldest golf club in Southport, established in 1885. The club is set to host Regional Qualifying for the Open Championship in 2023 through 2026.
The club is set amongst the Victorian villas of the residential area of Churchtown, Southport.
Course designers have included George Lowe, the designer of the original Royal Birkdale and Royal Lytham courses as well as the illustrious James Braid.
