Format & Prizes |
64 players are formed into 16 groups of 4 to begin the championship. Each player plays 3 rounds of match play against players in a group of 4, called Group Play. The winner of each match will receive 1 point. Tied matches after 18 holes results in each player receiving .5 points. In the event of a tie in the group after three rounds, the tied players will have a sudden death stroke play play-off to see who wins the group. The 16 players with the most points from each group after 3 rounds will advance to the final 16 Championship Bracket, called Bracket Play. The 16 group winners will be seeded into a traditional 16-player bracket based on the group # they won, not based on their original seeds. Merchandise certificates are valid until December 31, 2023. |

August 1: Practice Rounds Available after 12:00 August 2 Round 1 & Round 2 of Match Play Group Play. August 3: Round 3 of Match Play Group Play. Stroke play playoffs for any group ties. August 4 Round of 16 and Quarterfinal Matches. August 5: Semifinal & Championship Match. Awards Ceremony immediately after. |

Food Service Information | Lunch will be provided for players on August 2-3. All other food and beverage will be at the player’s expense. |
Spectator & Caddie Information | Spectator Information: Spectators are welcome at CGA championships. Spectators are not allowed to ride in a player’s golf cart at any time or rent a spectator cart except as provided in the
CGA Tournament Manual. **Due to the limited number of available carts, spectator carts will not be available on April 2-3.** Caddie Information: Caddies are permitted. During the play of a hole, either the player or the caddie may ride in a golf cart but not both at the same time. Caddies will be required to wear a CGA caddie bib and they will be available at the starting tees and must be returned to the scoring area following each round. |
