This event is a two-day 54-hole stroke play competition. All competitors will play 18 holes on Monday, June 9, after which, the field will be cut to the low 40 players plus ties and anyone within 5 shots of the lead. 36 holes will be played on Tuesday, June 10 to determine the Champion.
In the event of a tie for the Championship, there will be a sudden death playoff immediately following the conclusion of regulation play.

Eligibility |
The competition is open to golfers who are:
1) PGA Members in good standing in the Met Section employed by a club in the nine county area.
2) PGA Associates, employed at a golf facility in the nine county area, who are enrolled in the Professional Golf Management Program.
3) Head and Assistant Professionals at MGA member clubs in the nine county area.
4) Golf Professionals who are dues paying members, with full golfing privileges, at MGA Member Clubs in the nine-county area, and an individual up to-date Handicap Index based on ratings for men not exceeding 5.0 under the USGA Rules of Handicapping. A Golf Professional may not join an MGA member club in the nine county area for the sole purpose of gaining entry to the Westchester Open.
5) Amateur members of MGA Member Clubs in the nine county area, members of the MGA eClub – Hudson Valley, MGA eClub – Connecticut, or USGA/MGA GC who reside in the nine county area, and members of the MGA eClub – New York City or USGA/MGA GC who reside in the Bronx, or Manhattan* with an individual up-to-date Handicap Index based on ratings for men not exceeding 5.0 under the USGA Rules of Handicapping.
*MGA eClub – NYC or USGA/MGA GC members who reside in Manhattan may play in either LIGA or WGA events, not both.
6) Golf Professionals or Amateurs, 29 and under, in the immediate family of the Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and/or Head Golf Course Superintendent at MGA Member Clubs in the nine county area with an individual up-to-date Handicap Index based on ratings for men not exceeding 5.0 under the USGA Rules of Handicapping.

Alternate Policy |
Players who miss qualifying by 1-2 strokes will be added to an alternates list for the Westchester Open Championship. Alternates will be selected beginning with those who missed the cut by one stroke and continuing to those who missed by two strokes if necessary. Alternates will only be selected prior to the release of the Championship pairings if the Championship field size is below the minimum of 132 players. If the field is above 132 players, alternates will only be selected to ensure all pairings are full or to replace a withdraw that was already in the field.
Alternates will be selected in order starting with the 1st alternate at Rockland, followed by the 1st alternate at Summit Club at Armonk, continuing until the field is filled. The tie breaker among alternates with the same qualifying score will be determined via the USGA Match of Cards.
If a spot becomes available in the Championship, alternates will be contacted directly by the staff. The cutoff date for alternate selection is Friday, June 7. On-site alternates will not be permitted.

Carts/Caddies |
• Players are permitted to use a golf cart.
• Players may bring their own caddie.
• Players may carry their own bag.
• Pull carts will be approved on a course by course basis, please consult the Memorandum to Players.
• It is strongly recommended that caddies wear shoes without spikes or tread.
• Final information will be released in the Memorandum to Players, which will be released prior to the event.
