Format | The 26th Women's Public Links Championship will be an 18 hole stroke play championship. If necessary to determine the champion, there will be a sudden death playoff which will begin immediately at the conclusion of regulation play. All players should keep informed as to the time and status of any playoff. |
Eligibility | The competition is open to female amateur golfers who reside in the MGA territory and do not have playing privileges at any course (e.g. a golf facility outside of the Met Area) at which the general public is excluded. A person who does not reside in the MGA territory and who is not a full-time student or employed in the MGA territory cannot join a club for the purpose of entering the WMGA/MGA Women’s Public Links Championship. |
Handicap | All entrants must have an individual up-to-date Handicap Index based on ratings for women not exceeding 20.0 under the USGA Handicap System and are subject to the MGA Rules and Regulations. |
Carts/Caddies | • This is a walking only event. • Players may bring their own caddie. • Players may carry their own bag. • Pull carts will be approved on a course by course basis, please consult the Memorandum to Players. • It is strongly recommended that caddies wear shoes without spikes or tread. • Final information will be released in the Memorandum to Players, which will be released prior to the event. |
Food Service | Food service will vary at each qualifying location, please consult the Memorandum to Players.
