Format & Prizes |
The championship is contested over 36 holes using a mixed format of four-ball stroke play and modified alternate shot. This competition includes gross scores only. Teams may choose to compete in any division in which they are eligible: Championship Division, Tournament Division (shorter course), Senior Division (ages 55+ for males, ages 50+ for females),Super Senior Division (ages 65+ for males and females).
The Tournament, Senior and Super Senior Divisions are pre-flighted by total team Handicap Index using the following formula: 2/3 of lower Handicap Index to 1/3 of higher Handicap Index. Overall champions and low scorers in each division will receive trophies. Merchandise will be awarded to low scorers in each flight. Any tie for the overall championship and/or division winners is decided by an on-course playoff. All other ties for merchandise will be decided by a scorecard playoff. |

August 12-18, based on availability. Practice Round Fee: $35 Pro Shop Number: 910-579-9120 (ext. 1) Begin calling for tee times: August 13 Player must identify themselves as a CGA Mixed Team player to get proper rate AND be assigned to proper course rotation (SAND to PIPER rotation). |
Registration | There is no formal registration. Players should be at their starting tee ready to play 10 minutes prior to their starting time. |
Food Service Information | Lunch will be provided after the final round on August 20. All other food and beverage will be at the player’s expense. |
Spectator & Caddie Information |
Spectator Information: Spectators are welcome at CGA championships. Spectators are not allowed to ride in a player’s golf cart at any time or rent a spectator cart except as provided in the
CGA Tournament Manual. Due to the limited number of available carts, spectator carts will not be available. Caddie Information: Caddies are NOT permitted. |
