The competition is open to golfers who are:

1) PGA Members in good standing in the Met Section employed by a club in the nine county area.

2) PGA Apprentices, employed at a golf facility in the nine county area, who are enrolled in the Professional Golf Management Program.

3) Head and Assistant Professionals at MGA member clubs in the nine county area.

4) Golf Professionals who are bona fide members, with full golfing privileges, at MGA Member Clubs in the nine county area, have a place of residence in the nine county area, and an individual up to-date Handicap Index based on ratings for men not exceeding 5.0 under the USGA Rules of Handicapping. A Golf Professional may not join an MGA member club in the nine county area for the sole purpose of gaining entry to the Westchester Open.

5) Amateur members and applicants for Amateur Reinstatement at MGA Member Clubs in the nine county area with an individual up-to-date Handicap Index based on ratings for men not exceeding 5.0 under the USGA Rules of Handicapping.

6) Golf Professionals or Amateurs, 29 and under, in the immediate family of the Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and/or Head Golf Course Superintendent at MGA Member Clubs in the nine county area with an individual up-to-date Handicap Index based on ratings for men not exceeding 5.0 under the USGA Rules of Handicapping.

1.) WGA Open Champions from the last 10 years.

2.) WGA Open Champions prior to 2018.

3.) All competitors who returned 54 holes scores from the 2022 WGA Open Championship

4) 2022 WGA Amateur; Champion, Runner-Up & Semi-finalists, Senior Amateur Champion, Mid-Am Champion and 2023 Public Links Champion

5) 2023 Met PGA Westchester PGA Championship; Champion, Runner-Up, Semi-Finalist & Quarter Finalist.

6) 20 lowest scores & ties from the nine county area in the 2022 Met PGA Championship.

7) Top 25 on the Met PGA Player of the Year points list.

8) 5 lowest scores and ties in the nine county area in the 2022 Met PGA Senior Championship & 2022 Met PGA Assistants Championship.

9) 2022 Met Open Championship; all competitors who make the cut.

10) 2022 Met Amateur Championship; all competitors who qualify for match play.

11) 5 lowest scores and ties in the 2022 Ike Championship.

12) 2022 MGA Player of the Year Honor Roll.

13) 5 lowest scores & ties and the low amateur in the 2022 NYS, and CSGA Open.

14) 5 lowest scores & ties in the 2022 NYS Amateur.

15) 2022 CSGA Amateur; Champion, Runner-Up & Semi-Finalists.

16) Past USGA & PGA Champions and past Walker Cup members.

17) Head Golf Professional of the qualifying Sites.

18) Two Professional representatives and current club champion of Whippoorwill Club

19) Members of the 2022 Stoddard Trophy Team.

20) 2022 WGA Senior Open Champion

21) Special invitees of the MGA Executive Committee.
