Format
54-hole Stroke Play Championship.

All players will play 18-holes on Tuesday, June 6th followed by a second 18-holes on Wednesday, June 7th. Following the conclusion of Round 2, the field will be cut to the low 40 players & ties. 18-holes will be played on Thursday, June 8th to determine a Champion.

In the event of a tie for the Championship, a three (3) hole aggregate playoff will be held immediately following play. In the event of a further tie after 3 holes, play will immediately continue hole-by-hole until a champion is determined.
Eligibility


The competition is open to golfers who are:

1) PGA Members in good standing in the Long Island Section.

2) PGA Apprentices, employed at a golf facility in the Long Island section, who are enrolled in the Professional Golf Management (‘PGM’).

3) Professional golfers who are residents of Long Island and not employed outside the Long Island section at the time of the tournament.

4) Amateur members of Long Island MGA Member Clubs or the MGA eClub – Long Island with an individual up-to-date Handicap Index based on ratings for men not exceeding 4.0 under the USGA Rules of Handicapping.

5) Applicants for Amateur Reinstatement and Professionals who are members at Long Island MGA Member Clubs with an individual up-to-date Handicap Index based on ratings for men not exceeding 4.0 under the USGA Rules of Handicapping. A professional may not join a club for the sole purpose of entering the LI Open.

Carts/Caddies • This is a walking only Championship.
• Players may bring their own caddie.
• Players may carry their own bag.
• Pull carts will be approved on a course by course basis, please consult the Memorandum to Players.
• It is strongly recommended that caddies wear shoes without spikes or tread.
• Final information will be released in the Memorandum to Players, which will be released prior to the event.
