TYGA Sandhills Progression Series at Sanford Golf Club

Golf is truly a game for all ages. Whether
you picked up a club before you could walk or in adulthood, there is a place on
course for each of us to have FUN, continue to learn and fall in love with the
game.
Following this approach, new for summer 2020 is the TYGA Sandhills Progression
Summer series. Developed with kids age 12-18 in mind; these events will provide
an environment for junior golfers who are still working towards playing,
walking, and carrying their bags for 18 holes, comfortably.
Emphasis will be on learning rules of tournament play, on course goal setting,
shooting lower scores and loving the game of golf. Courses will be set up at a
shorter yardage with the opportunity to ‘move back’ as your scores improve week
to week; this method will help increase players confidence, provide an
environment to see what it feels like to shoot lower scores, and create
excitement!
So, whether your just getting interested in the tournament environment or you’ve
been playing a few 18 hole events but would like to improve your scores; we
encourage you to give one, or all four, of these Sunday afternoon events a try!

| Eligibility | NC junior golfers who are 12-18 years of age as of the tournament date and have not started college. |
| Format | Individual 9-Hole Stroke Play. |
| Starting Times |
Starting times will begin at 3:00 pm. Groupings will be posted the Friday before the event by 5:00 pm. |
| Course Setup | Yardages will be between 1,900 and 2,600 yards. |

| Electronic Measuring Devices | Players may use an approved measuring device during this event. |

| Spectator and Parent Policy | Spectator Information:
Spectator carts are allowed at a rate of $TBD per cart. Spectator carts are
restricted to the cart path at all times. Parent Policy: Parents are encouraged to follow their child(ren). We do ask that all parents remain on the cart path (roughs if no cart paths), unless assisting with the search for a golf ball. |
| Withdrawal and Refund Policy |
If you cannot compete in the event, you must withdraw from the event by
contacting the TYGA office at 910-673-1000 prior to the day of the tournament.
If you do not withdraw properly, you are considered a "no show" and you will be
suspended from TYGA events for 1 year. Refund Policy: A $10 administrative fee will be charged to all withdrawals. |
