THE COURSE - SAND RIDGE CLUB

Tom Fazio's first Ohio golf course is a natural masterpiece. Situated in the western foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the course features gently rolling countryside, dramatic elevation changes, unique wetlands, and a plentiful mix of mature hardwoods. The property contains the headwaters of both the Chagrin and Cuyahoga rivers, and has been designated as a signature wildlife sanctuary by the Audubon Society- the first Ohio course to be granted this recognition. With its multiple teeing grounds and superb conditioning, Sand Ridge is a pleasure to play regardless of a player's ability or experience. Low handicap players put their skills to the test from the challenging back tees, while higher handicappers can move forward to make the course more playable. Tom Fazio designed the course to be walked, and one of the area's best caddie programs preserves this wonderful tradition of the game.

FORMAT

Four-Ball. Two players compete together as a side, each playing their own ball. The lower score of the two players is the sides score for that hole. With Handicaps being revised daily under the new World Handicap System (WHS), Handicap Indexes will be revised the morning AFTER entries close

ELIGIBILITY

Open to all amateur golfers. Must be a member of a NOGA Member Club with an ACTIVE GHIN Handicap Index

FIELD SIZE

100 Players / 50 Teams. If the event is full, teams can still register and be placed on the Waiting List. Teams will NOT be charged until they have placed on the active tournament roster.

HANDICAP INDEX

With Handicaps being revised daily under the new World Handicap System (WHS), Handicap Indexes will be revised the morning AFTER entries close.

DIVISIONS & FLIGHTS

Open (ALL AGES AND SKILL LEVEL) and Senior (55+) division can be chosen during registration. To compete in the senior division, BOTH players MUST be 55 years of age or older on or before the date of competition. Teams will be flighted based on LOWEST HANDICAP INDEX of any member per side. Flight breakpoints will depend on the size and equity of the field (approximately 8-12 teams per flight).
