In-App Matchplay Scoring for Associations and Clubs

Written by Golf Genius - International | Sep 2, 2026, 1:10:01 AM

Volunteers and scorers in match play events have a familiar problem: golfers want to know how they stand, and there's rarely a fast way to tell them. A new scoring station in the Golf Genius App is designed to solve this problem.

Built for organisers on the move

Rather than tying scoring to a fixed desk or clubhouse screen, the new station puts every in-play match in a volunteer's pocket. Walk the course, ask a group how their match stands, and record it on the spot — no need to head back to a laptop or wait for golfers to check in.

How it works:

  • Open the Golf Genius App and see every in-play match for the round
  • Ask golfers for their current status, then select the match winner (or record a tie)
  • Enter the score and how many holes have been played
  • The live leaderboard updates the moment you save

For golfers and spectators, it means a leaderboard that actually reflects what's happening on the course, not what happened an hour ago. For volunteers, it means covering more ground and keeping scoring current without detours back to base.
