ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP

The Carris Trophy is the English Boys' Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship and is open to golfers aged under 18 on the 1 January of the year of the championship, played by 72 holes of stroke play over four days.

144 competitors will play 18 holes on each of the first two days. After 36 holes the leading 60 competitors and all those tying for 60th place shall play a further 18 holes on the third day, followed by a re-draw and a final 18 holes on the fourth day.

Designed by Charles Hugh Alison with subsequent upgrades to host Regional Qualifying for The Open Championship. The playing experience is exhilarating that is both challenging and fair in equal measure. Well worthy of its place amongst the top 100 golf courses in England
