Card payment information will be collected and authorised at the time of registration, but your card will not be charged until players are successful in the ballot and confirmed in our system. Justin Rose Telegraph Junior Golf Championship qualifier: The first round winners gross score against course rating is used as the qualifying score and the top 12 qualifying scores in each category at the Justin Rose Telegraph Junior Golf Championship closing date will be invited to the final.

SUMMARY
a) Entries will only be accepted from players who can meet one of the following criteria requirements:
i) Born in Wales;
ii) One of your parents was born in Wales;
iii) One of your grandparents was born in Wales;
iv) Resided in Wales for two years prior to day 1 of the Championship (if under 18 years of age)
v) Resided in Wales for three years prior to day 1 of the Championship (if 18 years of age)
vi) Previously represented Wales at Junior level in Home International Matches or European Team Championships or World Amateur Team Championships (players will be asked to provide evidence of this).
b) Entrants MUST NOT have played in the Women’s Closed Championship of another country within the last two years or have ever played in the full international Team of another country.
c) Entries will only be accepted from players who were under 18 years of age at 00:00hrs on 1st January 2024.
d) Entries will only be accepted from players with an official WHS Handicap Index of 18.0 or less held at an affiliated club to their National Union, or overseas equivalent.
e) Entrants holding both a WHS Handicap and an overseas handicap must enter this Championship using their WHS Handicap Index.
f) Failure to enter in accordance with this condition will result in entry being denied.
The Championship will be played in two separate stages. The first stage will be decided by 36 holes stroke play with 18 holes being played on day one and on day two. The second stage will be decided by match play, the 16 players returning the lowest gross scores over the 36 holes shall qualify for the match play stage of the Championship. Those competitors finishing in 17th – 24th place will qualify for the Match Play Plate event. Ties in the stroke play qualifying will be decided by a card countback on the second 18 holes (or the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 hole(s) in turn as required. If a tie still arises, a hole-by-hole card play-off starting from hole 1 will be used.
The match play stages will be conducted by automatic draw based on the qualifying position of each competitor, i.e. 1 will play 16 at the top of the draw and 2 will play 15 in the opposite half of the draw etc.
Each match will consist of one round of 18 holes. In the event of a match being all square after 18 holes, competitors will continue to play until one will gain a hole, when the match will be considered won.
A maximum of 72 competitors shall play in the Championship, held at Wenvoe Castle Golf Club.
