VOLUNTEERING

Each year, The Clubs of Kingwood, along with its golfing organizations (MGA, KWGA, OFWW) sponsor an invitation-only Volunteer Golf Tournament and Luncheon, as a thank you to its many golfing members who volunteer their time for the betterment of the Club and its Associations. To be invited, a member must have accumulated at least three (3) volunteer point over the course of the year through participation in various volunteer activities.

For OFWW members, volunteer points can be earned in a number of ways.

· OFWW officers are awarded 5 volunteer points
· Our Statistician is awarded 3 volunteer points

· Divot Day workers are awarded 1 volunteer point for each divot day worked

· Helping with MGA or KWGA projects are awarded volunteer points as determined by those organizations

 

Other ad-hoc activities, as determined by the Club, can also earn volunteer points. Examples of these from past years are tournaments hosted by the Club such as the Men’s Texas Senior Open and the WSGA Ladies Amateur Championship where volunteers were needed to work as spotters, caddies, divot-filler etc. and earned a volunteer point for each shift or day worked.
