2023-24 WMGA Member-Member Match Play Series
Entry Fee: $40 per player, $80 for the team (cash only, entry will remain pending until payment of entry fee is made)
Schedule for Matches: Round #1: November 3, 2023 thru November 30, 2023
Round # 2: December 1, 2023 thru December 31, 2023
Round # 3: January 1, 2024 thru January 31, 2024
Round # 4: February 1, 2024 thru February 15, 2024
Round # 5: February 16, 2024 thru February 28, 2024
GENERAL TOURNAMENT RULES
- Tournament play will be governed by USGA rules and local playing rules established by Waterlefe Golf Club. Should a match be suspended due to inclement weather once play has begun, each player should mark his ball location and continue play from the same location when play is resumed.
- All participants will play from the tee box on which they have established their USGA Handicap using the handicap they have on the day the match is played.
- Scorecards for each match will be provided by the Pro Shop and handicaps will be adjusted to reflect the differential between the player having the lowest handicap.
- Participants who do not make themselves available to their opponent, for scheduling or playing a match, within the designated round time frame, will be deemed to have forfeited the match.
- If any match is not played for any reason, within the designated time period, that match will be considered a double forfeiture and neither team will move on to the next round.
- When setting up your first tee time, please confirm which tees you will be playing from for the tournament. Your handicap must be stablished from the tee that you will be playing
- Any issues with handicap accuracy will be grounds for disqualification from the tournament. These include rounds not posted or inaccurate score postings just as examples. Issues must be reported to the professional staff and WMGA Board for immediate review. The WMGA Board will make the determination on the penalty for any such violations
(Note – Teams are responsible for establishing their own tee times for each round. The (16) teams continuing play in the CONSOLATION BRACKET are subject to the same playing schedule listed above for Rounds 2, 3, 4 & 5)
The prize pool funds will be allocated to the tournament participants as follows:
Winner in the Championship Bracket (with 5 wins) - $400 per player (estimate based on previous year)
Second Place in the Championship Bracket (with 4 wins) - $300 per player (estimate based on previous year)
Winner in the Consolation Bracket (with 4 wins) - $300 per player (estimate based on previous year)
