The 9-Hole October Holidays Championship

The 9-Hole October Holidays Championship will be held from 11th-13th October to coincide with the October school holidays. The event is targeted at players who are currently in our younger age group categories (Under 12’s & Under 16’s) but already hold an official handicap index. Depending on age/ability, players will either play from the black tees or the green tees.

The tournament is open to junior season ticket holders who meet the following criteria:

Under 16 years old (on 1st January 2023) and hold a handicap between 17.6-54.0

or

Under 12 years old (on 1st January 2023) and hold a handicap of 54.0 or less

The championship is a 27-hole (3 x 9-hole) Stableford competition and this year will be played over The Carnoustie Burnside Course and The Carnoustie Buddon Course. The dates of play are as follows:

Round 1: 11th October – Burnside Course – Tee Times from 2.30pm
Round 2: 12th October – Buddon Course – Tee Times from 2.30pm
Round 3: 13th October – Buddon Course – Tee Times from 2.30pm

Entry* for 9-Hole October Holidays Championship will open on 11th September 2023 and will close on 4th October 2023. For more information on this event, please see the Competition Terms & Conditions and the Player Information Guide.

Extra information for parents/carers: As this is a competitive event, accurate scores will need to be kept. If you feel your junior golfer is not quite at the stage of keeping an accurate count of their individual hole scores, your support during the round would be required.

*A total of 24 places are available in the starting field. If the entry exceeds 24 players, the field will be decided on a first-come, first-served basis.
