Conditions of Entry

  1. The Fairhaven Trophies are open to all Amateur Golfers of any Nationality, aged under the age of 18 at 00:00hrs on the 1st January in the year in which the Championship is to be played, and whose handicap index does not exceed:
  1. Male not exceeding 2.4, under the World Handicap System.
  2. Female not exceeding 5.4, under the World Handicap System.
  1. The Handicap Index certified at the date of entry will be used for all entry purposes.
  2. All entries must be made on the official entry form and must be received by the Club by 12noon on Wednesday 27th March 2024.  A draw will be made by Friday 5th April 2024 to select 144 entrants to compete in the Championship and select a list of reserves.  Following the draw all applicants will be notified of whether they have been successful in the draw, and if unsuccessful whether they have been selected for the list of reserves.  Consideration will be given to a player’s World Amateur Golf and National Ranking at the time the draw is made.
  3. All entries must be via the Portal on the Fairhaven Golf Club Website, unless technical issues arise, when entries using this form will not be accepted unless it is fully completed and signed by the entrant, parent/guardian and the Home Club Secretary, Handicapping Authority or overseas Golfing Union, Federation or Association.
  4. All entries shall be subject to the approval of the Championship Committee which reserves the right to accept or refuse any entry without giving reasons for its decision, which shall be final.  The Championship Committee reserves the right to disqualify any competitor making a false or incorrect statement on their entry form.
  5. The entry fee of £55 (GBP) should accompany all entries.  Entries may be accepted without the entry fee but only by prior arrangement with the Championship Committee. Cheques will be cashed during the week following the draw.  If the Club fails to receive payment from cheques or credit/debit card payments, it is the responsibility of the entrant and parent or guardian and will lead to their exclusion from the Championship.
  6. No entry fee will be returned unless notification of withdrawal is received before the closing date for entries, except for any entrant who is balloted-out, or any reserve who is not called upon to play.
  7. Any competitor who withdraws after the Starting Sheet has been published must, without delay, furnish the Championship Committee with an explanation.  Any competitor whose withdrawal is not notified within 48 hours of the start of the championship or who is absent from the championship without notice of withdrawal may have future entries rejected.
