Patrick is driven to coach high-performing athletes to reach their full potential, through the use of industry-leading technology and is passionate about personal development through continuously learning from the leading minds in the industry on biomechanics, ground reaction forces, fitness, nutrition and sports psychology. 

Patrick has been recognized as a PGA of British Columbia Top 100 Golf Professional since 2018 and was the recipient of the PGA of BC’s Dunc Sutherland Distinguished Service Award in 2022 as well as the Regional Recipient of the PGA of BC’s Davie Black Professional Development Award that same year. 

 

Conner Kozak - BC Golf Performance Coach

 

Conner has a strong background working with young players and has been the lead Academy Coach for 5 years at the Okanagan Golf Club, while also spending the last two as its Assistant Professional. He's held the role of On-Site Assistant Coach for the UBC Okanagan Heat since 2021.

An accomplished university player himself with the UBC Thunderbirds, Conner was a 2-time Ping 1st Team All-American with the NAIA T'Birds. As a member of the PGA of BC, Conner won the BC Assistants Championship in 2021.

He received the 2019 PGA of British Columbia Jack McLaughlin Junior Golf Leader of the Year award as well as the 2021 PGA of BC Jack Westover Coach of The Year and the 2022 PGA of BC Apprentice Professional of The Year award for the Interior Region.

Originally from Edmonton, Colin has captained Team BC at events including the Canadian Junior Boys (3rd), Canadian Junior Girls (1st), Eddie Hogan Cup (4th) and North Pacific Team Matches (1st).  He has assisted at NCAA events for SFU, including a win in Portland and an event at St Andrews in 2019.  Lavers has also led and/or assisted at multiple BC Golf training camps around the province.

Colin values learning and is always trying to improve as a coach and a person.  He takes this holistic approach to his coaching, knowing that everyone has their own unique journey and that better is always possible.  He looks at all factors that can influence performance and helps create a pathway for continual improvement in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.

Colin earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and now resides in North Vancouver.  He is married and has a son.

Keri’s road to coaching began when she transitioned from a gymnast into coaching the competitive team at her local club. Those years instilled a love for coaching that crossed over to golf. She taught her first lesson days after she turned professional and was immediately hooked.

 

Her first full-time role in teaching was at Westwood Plateau Golf Academy. Following that, she was hired as the Director of Instruction at Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club where her team created a successful Academy.

 

In addition to running the Mayfair Lakes Golf Academy, she was hired by British Columbia Golf to work with the provincial team where she ran provincial training camps and coached Team BC at several Canadian Junior Girls’ Championships and BC Summer Games. And this past summer, Keri was selected to coach Team Canada at the FISU University Golf Championships in Turin, Italy.

 

For the past 12 years she have been the Assistant Coach for the UBC Women’s Golf Team. During the 2021/22 season the team dominated the NAIA rankings, winning a NAIA record-breaking 12 of 12 tournaments, including the NAIA National Championship and Golf Canada’s College/University Championship. On top of the team success that year, nine players won individual tournament titles.

 

She shares her successes in coaching with the amazing people she has met along her journey. She’s had the privilege of working alongside some of the best coaches in Canada. She believes in order to be great you need to surround yourself with great people. 

 

Keri has won the 2023 Cascade Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year, the 2019 Lower Mainland Regional PGA of BC Coach of the Year Award and was the 2011 PGA of BC Teacher of the Year.

 

Michelle McCann

Class A Professional

Born in Ontario, Michelle moved out to B.C. with her family in 2006. She started golfing in 2007 with her father at Glacier Greens Golf Club in Comox then worked as part of their Pro Shop team for 4 years while in high school and university. Michelle attended Simon Fraser University for a year and played on their women’s varsity golf team; she transferred to Camosun College to pursue a career as a golf professional, graduating with an Advanced Diploma in Golf Management and Golf Operations in 2014.

Commencing work at Uplands in April 2014 she has completed her journey to becoming a Class “A” PGA of Canada Golf Professional and is currently working on completing her Coaching Specialization to create a more robust offering at Uplands. She is our junior co-ordinator, working to grow our junior program and, in the community, introduce a new generation to the game we all love.

Nick Mueller is a golf performance consultant, a kinesiologist and a fascial stretch therapist specializing in the strength and conditioning for golfers. Nick’s specialty lies in mobility restoration, movement efficiency, power production and performance of the golfer.  He is an international authority in golf performance optimization, has co-authored a Golf Mobility certification course for RAD Roller Mobility and is an international speaker.   He is the owner and founder of MC Sport Kinesiology in South Surrey and MC Golf Fitness Academy based out of Northview Golf and Country Club.  His vast knowledge and coaching experience makes Nick one of the most sought after consultants for athletes on various professional tours as well as NCAA collegiate programs. Nick has been working with golfers at the professional, competitive amateur/collegiate and junior level for well over a decade and has been recognized in IMPACT MAGAZINE as one of Canada's Top Trainer's in 2020 and 2022.
