Format

Please note that the format of this Championship is as follows;

Three rounds of Stroke Play

One round on each day with a cut for the final round.

Wait List

Please note that we have experienced a high volume of withdrawals at both the Irish Senior Men's Open and Irish Senior Men's Close Championships already staged this year, so it is possible that a significant number of call-ups from this list will be made.  

The Draw will be published seven days before the Championship is due to commence.   Anyone who is included in the Start List will be included in the Championship Draw accordingly.

Practice

Given the high number of entries in this year's Championship, we request that entrants on the waiting list do not book practice with Powerscourt until they are called up to the field.

Official practice round is Tuesday 15th August with tee times from 9.00am – 4.30pm

All rounds played during this time are complimentary and an online booking is available by clicking  HERE

Practice rounds outside of above are €40 per round.

Practice Facilities

There is a 12-bay driving range to right hand side of car park / clubhouse and a short game area next to the driving range.

Cost €4 for 40 balls or multiple card option can be purchased from the Pro Shop.

Registration

All competitors will be sent a link to register for the championship via the tournament management system approximately three days beforehand to confirm their participation. All competitors must register by clicking the link and completing accordingly.

Stroke play qualifying Round 1 (from 1st and 10th tees)

08:30 – 10:30 and 13:15 – 15:15

Thursday 17th August

Stroke play qualifying Round 2 (from 1st and 10th tees)

08:30 – 10:30 and 13:15 – 15:15

There will be a cut following Round 2.

Friday 18th August

Stroke Play Round 3 (1st tee only)

09:00 – 13:30

Please note that the above times may be subject to change.

Presentation of Prizes will take place approximately 20 minutes after conclusion of play.

Course and Tees

The East Course at Powerscourt will be the course for the Championships.

The Women’s Championship will be played off the Red tees and the Men’s Championship will be played off the White tees.

Play-Off

There will be a sudden death play-off in the event of a tie, holes to be advised.
