Dear, Members and Guests:

On behalf of the Berkeley Country Club’s Golf Committee, I would like to welcome you to the 2023 Invitational. Many of you are returning participants and know that this is one of the hallmark events at Berkeley Country Club.  For those who are first-time participants, you are in for a special treat. Berkeley Country Club welcomes you and its staff will do everything in their power to make your day an enjoyable one of golf in a relaxed atmosphere.  We are a club with few, if any rules, but our members do respect, and ask you to respect, our traditions and customs. We are proud of the Club. Berkeley Country Club is the product of great members and staff.

So, welcome!  We are glad you are here.  Please review our customs and traditions below and when in doubt, please ask your Berkeley staff member.

1.  Please park your vehicle in the lot on the left side of the drive.

2.  Please check in at the Pro Shop when you come on the property.

3.  Courtesy on the golf course is expected of every player.  The single most important factor in producing an enjoyable round of golf is speed of play.  As you know, or will soon experience, Berkeley is one of tees and greens in close proximity.  Please be conscious of your voice and conversation- they carry a long way.

4.  Please carefully rake all sand traps and repair ball marks.  Keep pace with the group in front of you.  We ask that you play your round in less than 4 hours.

5.  Members can help you navigate the course but the most important thing to keep in mind if you are driving a golf cart is to exit the fairway when you see the green and white signs pointing to the cart path.

6.  Proper golf attire is required.  Traditional "blue jeans" or Non-Collard Shirts are not considered appropriate golf attire.

7. Cell phones are, unfortunately, a part of our lives.  The Club will not prohibit their use however; we request you use your cell phones for emergency business or medical calls.  Please be brief.

8.  Finally, a custom that we like to remind guests about.  We are pleased to see Berkeley Country Club logos in airports and anyplace where great people like you are.  Please stop by the Pro Shop before you leave the property and fill up one of our Berkeley Country Club shopping bags with memories of your day.

Please note that Berkeley Country Club is a non-smoking facility, so we ask that you refrain from smoking in the clubhouse, pro shop, and Exeter Grill.

Again, welcome.  We are anxious to meet you and have you experience golf the way it was meant to be experienced.

Sincerely,

Berkeley Country Club Staff
