The National Links Trust and DICK’S Sporting Goods announce Presenting Sponsorship for the NLT Championship
Washington, D.C. – National Links Trust (NLT), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established to positively impact communities by promoting and protecting affordable, accessible, and engaging golf course architecture at municipal courses throughout the United States, announced today the partnership with DICK’S Sporting Goods to serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the National Links Trust Championship to be held September 30 – October 1 at East Potomac Golf Links in Washington, DC.
“The support provided by DICK’S Sporting Goods will help the tournament create solid foundation of the event and help the tournament in meeting its mission of providing a championship for public golfers from across the country” stated Tournament Chairman Sinclair Eaddy. “DICK’S is a leader in sports and recreation and will help us to strengthen the ties to communities they serve across the country.”

The tournament has also announced the opening of registration for the qualifiers across the country. This national championship is open exclusively to public-access golfers aged 25 and over that will feature men’s and women’s divisions. With the championship proper being held at East Potomac Golf Links, a 1923 Walter Travis design, this championship also honors the 100th anniversary of the United States Public Links Championship being held at the facility.
Several other partners have signed on to support the event including Golf Genius and several Allied Golf Associations across the country that support the importance of public golf facilities in the communities they serve.
