36 Holes – Men’s Open Amateur Scratch Meeting
Played over the New Course & Old Course
(All competitors must be 55 years of age or over on 27th September 2023 with an active handicap)
PRIZES: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th | 1st Handicap | 1st over 65
ENTRY CONDITIONS:
- The competition will be held on a scratch and handicap basis in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the R&A Rules Ltd
- Entrants must be amateurs as defined by the current Rules of Amateur Status and be a member of a recognized golf club.
- Entrants must hold a current handicap of 8.0 or better at the time of entry.
- Entries are limited to 72 and if required a ballot on handicap will take place.
- All play is from the white tees.
- The competition is a 36 holes scratch stroke play competition over the New Course on day one (one tee start) and the Old Course on day two (two tee start).
- In the event of a tie a sudden death play-off will take place over holes 1, 2 & 18 (Old)
- Entrants will be granted one practice round by arrangement with the club office at the members’ guest rate of £45.
- Entrance fee to include all catering and prizes - £130.00
- The Walton Heath Senior Amateur Open Trophy will be awarded to the player with the best aggregate Scratch Score. (Trophy to be retained by Walton Heath)
- Competitors may not take more than one prize.
- Catering: Wednesday – Coffee, bacon rolls. Thursday – Coffee, bacon rolls and lunch.
- Entrance Fees will only be refunded at the discretion of the Committee. No refunds will be given less than seven days prior to the competition day.
- All matters relating to the Competition shall be settled by the Committee whose decision will be final.
- Each entrant must provide as a condition of entry his date of birth and CDH Number.
