Welcome to the 2023 Golf Marathon for Brain Health

Follow along as our Valley Ridge PGA Professional Staff, play 72 consecutive holes of golf here on our beautiful course, June 28, 2023! 

 

This marathon event is to raise awareness for Brain Health and our Valley Ridge Junior Program! 

 

50% of your donation will go directly to Calgary Health Foundation, benefitting the Foothills Medical Centre Neurology Unit. 

50% of your donation goes to the Valley Ridge Junior Program!

FAQ's

 

Q: By donating on the Golf Genius portal, does this mean I am playing 72 holes on June 28th?

A: No, only the Valley Ridge Golf Professional Staff and Friends are playing to raise awareness and funds for the Junior Program and Foothills Neurology Unit

 

Q: I would rather donate a different amount than the options listed, how can I do that?

A: Message Stephen at syanitski@valleyridgegolf.com, and he will set up another donation portal option for you to donate

 

Q: Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?

A: You will receive a tax receipt for 50% of your donation, which is the half that goes through the Calgary Health Foundation as a registered charity.

 

Q: How does Valley Ridge GC use my donation in the name of the Junior Program?

A: Funds raised by the Junior Program go directly into program enhancements and prizing throughout the season, to be directly enjoyed by the many Juniors who come through the program each year; these enhancements come in the form of meal upgrades, increased value registration gifts, and price-locking our program fees while the world gets more expensive! 

 

Q: Why the Foothills Neurology Unit?

A: In this now annual event, we aim to benefit a local cause each year. Last season we raised thousands for the Junior Program and the Canadian Mental Health Association; this year the Foothills Neurology Unit is our beneficiary of choice, in a way to thank the amazing staff of doctors and health care providers provided an incredible standard of care for our Director of Golf Curtis Robertson, ensuring he could return to Valley Ridge for the 2023 season.

A: Absolutely, check in with the golf shop to find out where we are and come see us on the golf course - live scoring will be available on the Results tab above!
