Riverside Ryder Cup
Saturday June 24, 2023 - Sunday June 25, 2023
Live Scoring and viewing throughout the tournament using the Golf Genius App. Players can post scores throughout the round by using the Golf Genius App and view the Live Leaderboard in real time.
To post your score throughout the tournament, follow the step below:

Download the Golf Genius App

Identify your groups GGID Code located on your scorecard

Open the Golf Genius App and enter the GGID Code

After each hole, enter the score then click Save Scores
Download the Golf Genius App by scan the QR Code

Sign up deadline Tuesday June 14, 2023 by 1200pm

Entry Fee:

$100/Team ($50 per player) - if paid before June 14 at 12:00pm. Must sign up and pay as a team.

$150/Team ($75 per player) - players may sign up between June 14 at 12:01pm to June 16 at 12:00pm, if any spots remain available.

Tee times - starting at 6:00am

Day 1 Tee Times are selected at random.
- Day 2 tee times are based on how teams play on Day 1. Day 2, the leaders will be teeing off last.

Combined team handicap index must be 15 or higher.
- Handicaps for the tournament will be as of June 23. If teams fall below the 14.5 on the June 23, they will still be allowed to play as a team.

Must hold a Riverside Golf Course Membership.

Only having a Ghin membership at Riverside does not qualify.

Ghin Handicap is required - Must have an Active Ghin Membership at Riverside. NH will not be acceptable to play in the event.

Singles may sign up and we will try to pair you with another player but we can not guarantee you will be paired.
RULES

Write down the scores per format - Card must be turned in after your round - The scorecard will be the official score for the team.

FORMAT - 4 Formats:

9 Hole Scramble - (6/24/2023 - 1st Nine - Front) Scramble – 35% hdcp A player, 15% hdcp, B player
-
9 Hole Pinehurst - (6/24/2023 - 2nd Nine - Back) Pinehurst (Chapman Scotch) – 60% hdcp A player, 40% hdcp B player

Pinehurst Format - both players tee off, then they switch balls. Player A plays Player B's drive, and vice-versa. Each player hits the second shot. They then select the best of the second shots, and from that point until the ball is holed they play only one ball in an alternate shot format.

9 Hole Best 1 of 2 - (6/25/2023 - 3rd Nine - Front) Better Ball – 90% hdcp

9 Hole True Alternate Shot - (6/25/2023 - 4th Nine - Back) True Alternate Shot – 50% team hdcp

True Alternate Shot - on the 10th hole whoever tees off, their partner hits the second shot and continues to alternate until they ball is holed. Whoever putts the ball in the cup, their partner is to tee off the next hole. Players can not choose who tees off from each hole except the 10th hole which is the starting hole for this format.

You can not change balls on a hole, you must start and finish with the same ball.

If a player picks up and records an X on a hole where the score is needed, the team will be disqualified from the tournament.
-
If only 1 player arrives from the team to play and no other players are available to fill in, unfortunately that team will be unable to compete in the tournament.

Pine needles at base of trees – NOT GUR (located in rule book under Definitions - Ground Under Repair. Grass clipping, leaves any other material left on the course that are not intended to be removed are not ground under repair unless marked GUR)

Tree Roots - No relief. Players may take an Unplayable Ball under Rule 19. You can play and unplayable ball anywhere except o a Penalty Area

Nesting Boxes – Free Relief - Nearest point of complete relief - one club length from the reference point. Relief must not be nearer the hole and in the general area.

No Play Zones (Environmental Sensitive Areas) –

Mandatory drop for environmental areas with a 1 stroke penalty

Entry into and/or playing from environmental reason - breach of rule 2 stroke penalty

Relief from netting on 6th or 12th holes - Players can take the nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole, if the net interferes with their stands, swing or line of sight.

Sprinkler Head Relief - 16-1d. Relief for Ball on Putting Green

If a player’s ball is on the putting green and there is interference by an abnormal course condition on the course, the player may take free relief by placing the original ball or another ball on the spot of the nearest point of complete relief, using the procedures for replacing a ball under Rules 14.2b(2) and 14.2e.

The nearest point of complete relief must be either on the putting green or in the general area.

If there is no such nearest point of complete relief, the player may still take this free relief by using the point of maximum available relief as the reference point, which must be either on the putting green or in the general area.

The player also has these extra options to take relief when such immovable obstructions are close to the putting green and on the line of play:

Ball in General Area. The player may take relief under Rule 16.1b if an immovable obstruction in
-
On the line of play, and is:
-
Within two club-lengths of the putting green, and
-
Within two club-lengths of the ball.

Exception – No Relief If Line of Play Clearly Unreasonable. There is no relief under this Local Rule if the player chooses a line of play that is clearly unreasonable.

"Ground under repair" is any part of the course so marked by order of the Committee or so declared by its authorized representative.

Handicaps will be based on which tees players have signed.

USGA tiebreaker will be used if teams are tied for any of the top places

All players will adhere to the USGA, State and Local Rules

Payouts - payouts in credit book money, all entry fees collected will be paid out. All entry fees collected per division will be paid out in that division
