RULES

One Scorecard must be submitted from each team after your round and signed by at least two players in the group.  If a card is not submitted to the pro shop, the team will be entered in as NC (no card) and their score will not be accepted.  The scorecard will be the official score for the team.  

 

Now offering Live Scoring and viewing throughout the tournament using the Golf Genius App.  Players can post their team score throughout the round by using the Golf Genius App and view the Live Leaderboard in real time.  Only one player per group needs to keep score on the app, if the group chooses to.    

 

To post your score throughout the tournament, follow the step below:

  • Download the Golf Genius App

  • Identify your groups GGID Code located on your scorecard

  • Open the Golf Genius App and enter the GGID Code

  • After each hole, enter the score then click Save Scores

  • Keep only gross scores on your scorecard - Card must be turned in after your round - The scorecard will be the official score for the team.  
  • FORMAT: 
    • Scramble - All team members hit and select the preferred ball for the next shot, repeat until the ball is hole’d out. Team has “Ball In Hand” and may place the ball within one club length before hitting. 

    • Can not change surfaces (ball in rough must stay in rough, ball in the bunker must stay in the bunker, etc).

    • Each player must use at least one drive throughout the round.  The driver may be used on any hole within the round.   

  • If 3 players arrive from the group to play, here are the options. 
    • We try finding someone to play within the time frame before the tournament starts.
    • If unable to find a 4th player, we can either offer a refund to the players in the group or they can play as a threesome. 
      • If playing as a threesome, here is how the 4th shot can be taken; 
        • Only a lower seeded player may take the extra shot. Example- A Player is a no show, the B, C, D players rotate the shot. B player is a no show, the C and D rotate the shot. C player is a no show, only the D player may take the extra shot. D player is a no show, no extra shot for that team. 
  • If 1 or 2 players arrive from the group to play, here are the options. 
    • We try finding someone to play within the time frame before the tournament starts.

    • If unable to find players to play, we will offer a refund to the players in the group.

  • 1 club length in the same surface
  • Rake and place in all bunkers 
  • Tees 
    • White Tees - Men 
    • Green Tees - Women 
  • All USGA, State and Local Rules apply to this tournament 
  • Pine needles at base of trees – NOT GUR (located in rule book under Definitions - Ground Under Repair. Grass clipping, leaves any other material left on the course that are not intended to be removed are not ground under repair unless marked GUR) 
  • Tree Roots - No relief. Players may take an Unplayable Ball under Rule 19. You can play and unplayable ball anywhere except o a Penalty Area 
  • Nesting Boxes – Free Relief - Nearest point of complete relief - one club length from the reference point. Relief must not be nearer the hole and in the general area. 
  • No Play Zones (Environmental Sensitive Areas) – 
    • Mandatory drop for environmental areas with a 1 stroke penalty 
    • Entry into and/or playing from environmental reason - breach of rule 2 stroke penalty
  • 18th Hole – Flower bed behind green is part of the obstruction 
    • Free Relief - Nearest point of complete relief - one club length from the reference point. Relief must not be nearer the hole and in the general area. 
  • Ground Under Repair (GUR) marked with white paint 
    • "Ground under repair" is any part of the course so marked by order of the Committee or so declared by its authorized representative. 
  • If in doubt, play 2 balls under rule 20.1c, inform other competitors which ball you want count ● Handicaps will be based on which tees players have signed. 
  • USGA tiebreaker will be used if teams are tied for any of the top places 
  • Payouts - payouts in credit book money, all entry fees collected will be paid out.
