Women's League 2023
The Ladies League format is 2v2 Best Ball Match Play. Handicaps are set at 100%, but are set off the lowest handicap in each match. Each match is worth up to 9 points, with a hole won earning you 1 point, a halved hole earning you 0.5 pts, and a lost hole earning you 0 pts.
Teams have been split into two flights with wildly varying handicaps and ranked 1-12 based on combined handicap index. Over the course of the 16 week season, we will play 2 introductory/fun scrambles (May 17th and July 12th), and 11 2v2 matches. The 11 opponents each team will play are the 11 other teams in their flight. At the conclusion of the regular season, the top 4 teams from each flight based on total points, will make it to the playoffs. Those teams will be ranked 1-8 by total points earned in the regular season and will be seeded into an 8-team elimination bracket. The championship evening will be played on September 6th. For teams that do not make the playoffs or those that are eliminated during the playoffs, you will still play a fun TBD format to keep everyone playing. Our hope is that every team is available to play the Championship night so that it can be a celebration for the winning team.
If you need a sub for any week, please find a sub from the subs list above or find a friend that has a handicap index through the USGA. There is a sub submission form attached to the subs list dropdown menu that will centralize everything for me. Please fill out this form when you have a sub, rather than emailing me. It can be hard to track down sub emails over the course of weeks. This will help me make fewer errors with subs.
We will be running weekly action in the Pro Shop. This action will be team based and will be $10/team each week. The format of the action will be 2-Ball Best Ball, Gross and Net. We may run additional action such as fewest putts, most fairways hit, and closest to the pins that will be individual contests. This is optional, but gives you a chance to win Pro Shop credits to purchase clothing, clubs, balls, etc..
