FALL BALL 2023 - GREENWOOD GOLF CLUB

Welcome to the 37th Annual Fall Ball Mixed Golf Tournament.  We are pleased you have decided to attend and support our tournament.  Take this opportunity to have an enjoyable time, rekindle old friendships and to create some new friends.

POINTS OF INTEREST

  1. Pinehurst Format:  Men play from the WHITE tees, unless their normal tee is RED (handicaps have been adjusted to player history) and Ladies play from the RED tees.

  1. We are having two shotgun starts both days (08:00 and 1:30).  The morning draw must be off the Course by 1:00…so please try to maintain pace with the group in front.  If one ball is in play and the other is in the woods…let it go, you’ll get more for Christmas.

  1. There will be two meal sittings on Saturday…one at 1:30 for the first draw golfers and the second at 6:30 for the second draw golfers.  Because meals are prepared for the number of participants in each draw, you must eat after your scheduled round.

  1. The prize presentation will follow the golf on Sunday.  If you win and you are not present, you will be notified of your win and the prize will be left at the Pro Shop for you to pick up, no later than 31 October 2023.

  1. Our prize structure will be gift certificates and prizes.  The Greenwood Golf Certificates have no expiry date and can be used for merchandise, green fees, cart rental and/or at the restaurant/bar.

  1. We will have a Meet and Greet on Friday – 7:00 to 8:00 PM and a “Glow Ball” putting contest as soon as it gets dark, weather permitting.  KARAOKE will be from 8:00 –12:00 PM with lots of door prizes.  You must be present to win a door prize.

  1. There will be a Dance on Saturday night commencing at 8:00 PM, again with more door prizes.

  1. During registration, your team can pay $10.00 to have a chance to win your entry fee back.

  1. ALL the Closest to the Pin Holes (#s3, 8, 11 and 13) and Squiggly line (hole #9) prizes on Saturday are for the men and on Sunday for the women.

  1. Mother Nature has not been kind to the Greenwood Golf Club this year.  Consequently, we have decided to have Lift, Clean and Place, through the Green. This means anywhere on the Golf Course, excluding Penalty Areas, Water Hazards, Bunkers and in the woods.

If you have questions, please ask any of us on the committee or the Golf Club staff.

Have a great weekend…enjoy your golf, rekindle old friendships, and make some new friends.

Thank you for supporting our tournament!
