Register now for 2023 Yellow Ball
Format: Yellow Ball/Scramble
In this format, there will be three competitions: The individual Scramble score, the individual Yellow Ball score, and an overall combination score of Yellow Ball and Scramble.
Yellow Ball Event:
Each team will receive one yellow golf ball. Each player on the team must play the yellow golf ball FOUR times. Your yellow ball final score will be a sixteen-hole score. Players may play the yellow ball ANY four holes they desire. Please write scores +/- relative to par. If a team loses the yellow ball, they are out of this competition. Players will receive 100% of their handicap. If the yellow ball is lost, those that have not played the yellow ball their four times, must sit out from the scramble as if they were playing the yellow ball. Each player must sit out or play the yellow ball a total of four times.
Scramble Event:
The other three members of the team will play a scramble format. If a team has lost their yellow ball, one player must be selected to sit out the equivalent of playing the yellow ball his/her four times. The three players will tee off and select the best shot. All three players will then continue in this manner until the ball is holed out. The ball may be placed within one club length of the shot selected, no nearer the hole. On the putting green, the ball must be placed within six inches of the selected ball, no nearer the hole. If the preferred ball is in the rough, bunker, hazard, fringe of the green, or fairway, the ball must remain in that same lie condition. Teams will receive 10% of their team handicap.
