Little League for Golf Program

Spring 2023

 

 The Santa Teresa Junior Golf Club Little League for Golf Program provides an opportunity for junior golfers between the ages of 7 - 13, to participate in a team oriented golf competition league. 

 

Eligibility: The league will consist up to 32 STJGC members placed on four (4) teams. Each team will be made up of  eight to ten (6-8) Santa Teresa Junior Club members who have not reached their fourteenth birthday by April 2, 2023.

         

The teams will have Santa Teresa Golf Club Professional staff members as coaches. Coaches will attend all practices and matches.  

 

Registration period: The registration period for Spring 2022 will begin on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 and will close on Friday, March 31. 2023.  

 

Registration process: Any active Santa Teresa Junior Golf Club member, who is at least 7 years old, and who will not reach their fourteenth birthday by April 2, 2023, may register. All first time Little League participants must pass a rules, and etiquette test, administered at the orientation, and be able to play nine holes on the Short Course without adult supervision. Any junior who is unable to meet the minimum requirements of ability, and knowledge to participate will be given a recommendation for further coaching to prepare for a future season, and a refund of Little League Registration fees.

 

Orientation days:  Two league orientation days will take place on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 1:00 PM and Sunday, April 2, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Santa Teresa Practice area and Short Course. All players will be asked to attend at least one of the orientation sessions. 

Matches:  The season will consist of five matches that will be in the PGA Junior League format (Scramble Stroke play or Match play Teams). Each match will be played over nine holes on the Short Course.

 

Registration: Register online through the STJGC email invitation. (MUST BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE SANTA TERESA JUNIOR GOLF CLUB YOC)

A registration fee of $275.00 per member, per season, will include all greens fees, practice range balls during supervised practices (45 minutes prior to each match), all instruction costs, and awards. Payment is due upon registration, and must be made prior to the orientation days.
