RULES OF PLAY – SHOOTOUT

 

ELIGIBILITY

Each flight winner, which is determined by total points, will qualify for the Shootout along with (2) Wild Card teams.  Handicaps will be determined by the following guidelines.  Each team will have an average handicap.  The lowest average handicap team still playing will be a zero and all other teams will receive the appropriate handicap off the low handicap team.  Handicaps will be adjusted the same way the matches were if different tees are played.  Each handicap of .5 or over will be rounded up, those below .5 will round down.  These will be the team handicaps for the Shootout. Handicap shots will fall on the scorecard as they would in an eighteen-hole match.

FORMAT

This will be a 4-hole shootout using holes 15-18.  Team members will determine whether they will tee off on either odd or even holes.  This is a true alternate shot until the ball is holed.

 

OTHER INFORMATION:

• 6 Teams eliminated on #15
• 5 Teams eliminated on #16
• 1 Teams eliminated on #17
• In the event that there is a tie, a chip off will occur with a golf professional choosing the spot.  The team will chip off and their combined distance will be measured.  Team members may watch their partners chip, but all other participants must turn their head during each shot.
