ENTRY DEADLINES

  • Registration Opens: Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 12:00pm EDT
  • Early Entry Deadline: Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 5:00pm EDT
  • Final Registration Deadline: Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 5:00pm EDT

 

Two entry deadlines have been established.  The “Early Entry Deadline” will permit Golf Canada to accept players prior to the “Final Registration Deadline” and allow more time to plan travel.  Early entry into the championship is at the discretion of the Golf Canada Selection Committee.  At least 25 of the players registered prior to the Early Entry Deadline for each championship will be accepted into the championship.

 

Note: If the field is under-subscribed after the entry deadline, Golf Canada reserves the right to accept all eligible applications and extend the entry deadline by up to two weeks

 

 

ELIGIBILITY

  • All players must have an EDGA Access Pass or WR4GD Pass to compete in the championship.  To create a profile and apply for an EDGA Player Pass, please visit www.edgagolf.com/online/pass/pass_info.php.  
  • Any player who believes they are eligible to use the Modification for Players with Disabilities (Rule 25) should contact amchamps@golfcanada.ca at entry to confirm their eligibility to use the specific modifications in Rule 25.  Please refer to the Policy for Eligibility Requirements of Players with Disabilities under Rule 25 and the Rule 25 Request Form.
  • In order to apply for the Modifications under Rule 25 in the All Abilities Championship, or to win the All Abilities Championship, a player must hold an EDGA WR4GD Pass.  
  • There is no handicap index requirement for the championship.
  • This competition is open to male and female amateur and professional golfers who are members of a golf club belonging to Golf Canada or holds a Public Player membership with Golf Canada. Foreign players must be members in good standing with their respective association.
  • All applications are subject to approval or rejection by Golf Canada at any time before or after the start of play.

 

Players must have an eligible impairment from the following categories: 

  • Impaired Muscle Power
  • Impaired Passive Range of Movement
  • Limb Deficiency
  • Leg Length Difference
  • Short Stature
  • Hypertonia
  • Ataxia
  • Athetosis
  • Vision Impairment
  • Intellectual Impairment

 

For players who wish to obtain an EDGA WR4GD Pass, players must undergo an assessment.  Please refer to this document that outlines the assessment process for players with physical and intellectual impairments (click here).

 

 

ENTRY FEE & APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  • The entry fee for the Canadian All Abilities Championship is $200 CAD (tax included).  
  • To apply, visit www.golfcanada.ca/competitions-calendar and click on the register link by the event you would like to participate in.  Canadian players must register as a “member.”  You will then be instructed to log-in to Golf Genius, using their Golf Canada membership credentials. If you need assistance accessing your Golf Canada membership, please call 1-800-263-0009 x399 or email members@golfcanada.ca.  International players must register as a "non-member." 
  • After registering, players will be listed as Pending. Payment will not be processed until a player is moved to Accepted. 
  • Remember to submit the application well in advance of 5:00pm EDT on the registration deadline. Late, incomplete or inaccurate applications will not be accepted and are not the responsibility of Golf Canada.  Please note that Golf Canada only accepts credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express) as a method of payment.

CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD

The Canadian All Abilities Championship will feature a maximum of 84 players.  

 

If the field is under-subscribed at the closing deadline, all eligible players will be accepted. If the field is over-subscribed at the closing deadline, the Golf Canada Selection Committee will select the field’s non-exempt players.  Golf Canada reserves the right to revise the championship field based upon the entries received before the registration deadline of each event.

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT

The Canadian All Abilities Championship is a 36-hole championship, with both Gross Stroke Play and Net Stableford divisions for both Men and Women.  Players are automatically entered into both competitions. 

 

  • Gross Stroke Play Division: This competition will run through completion of 36 holes.  Players must hole out and enter a score on each hole.
  • Net Stableford Division: These competitions will run concurrently through completion of 36 holes.  If a player decides to not complete play of one hole and pick up their ball, they will be removed from the Gross Stroke Play division.  Below is the Stableford points breakdown
    • 0 points: Net Double Bogey (or higher)
    • 1 point: Net Bogey
    • 2 points: Net Par
    • 3 points: Net Birdie
    • 4 points: Net Eagle
    • 5 points: Net 3-under-par
    • 6 points: Net 4-under-par

 

Day 1: Registration, Official Practice Round, and Player Reception

Day 2 Round 1 – 18 Holes of Stroke Play and Stableford

Day 3: Round 2 – 18 Holes of Stroke Play and Stableford (followed promptly by Awards Ceremony)

 

 

PRIZES AND PLAY-OFFS

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division will receive a championship medal.  The gross stroke play champion of the Canadian All Abilities Championship must have a WR4GD Player Pass

 

In the event of a tie for the Gross Stroke Play or Net Stableford competitions, it will be decided by a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following the conclusion of play.  Any teams or players tied for other positions will remain tied.

 

In the event of a play-off for both the Gross Stroke Play and Net Stableford division being required, the Committee will determine which play-off takes place first.  If a player is involved in both play-offs, separate events will take place to determine the winners.

 

 

REFUND POLICY AND NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL

Application fees will be fully refunded if Golf Canada is notified (1-800-263-0009 ext. 322) of the player’s intention to withdraw prior to the registration deadline. Once selected into a championship, players are expected to participate. Application fees will not be refunded after the registration deadline without a doctor’s note or medical certificate. All refunds are subject to a $50 administrative fee. If a player wishes to withdraw prior to the start of a championship, they must notify Golf Canada well in advance in order to ensure an alternate fair opportunity to play. Failure to comply may result in DISQUALIFICATION from future Golf Canada competitions.

 

 

 

 

DATES LIMITES D’INSCRIPTION

  • Échéance des inscriptions : Mercredi 30 août 2023 à 17 h HAE

 

Deux dates limites d’inscription ont été établies. L’échéance des préinscriptions permet à Golf Canada d’accepter des joueurs avant l’échéance des inscriptions finales et laisse à ceux-ci plus de temps pour préparer leur voyage. La préinscription aux championnats est acceptée à la discrétion du Comité de sélection de Golf Canada. Au moins 25 joueurs parmi ceux préinscrits pour un championnat seront acceptés à ce championnat.

 

Remarque : Si le tableau de compétition n’est pas complet après la date limite d’inscription, Golf Canada se réserve le droit d’accepter toutes les demandes admissibles et de prolonger la date limite d’inscription jusqu’à deux semaines.

 

 

ADMISSIBILITÉ

  • Tous les joueurs doivent détenir un « EDGA Player Pass » ou « Access Pass / WR4GD Pass » pour pouvoir participer au championnat. Pour créer votre profil et demander un « EDGA Player Pass », veuillez visiter le site www.edgagolf.com/online/pass/index.php#.
  • Cette compétition est ouverte aux golfeurs et golfeuses qui sont membres d’un club de golf affilié à Golf Canada ou qui détiennent une adhésion de golfeur public à Golf Canada. Les joueurs étrangers doivent être membres en règle de leur association respective.
  • Toutes les demandes d’inscription seront soumises à l’approbation de Golf Canada qui se réserve le droit d’accepter ou de refuser toute inscription en tout temps, avant ou durant le tournoi.
  • Tout joueur qui croit être admissible à l’utilisation de la Modifications pour les joueurs handicapés (Règle 25) devrait contacter amchamps@golfcanada.ca au moment de son inscription afin de confirmer son admissibilité à se prévaloir des modifications précises pertinentes de la Règle 25. Veuillez consulter la Politique relative aux exigences d’admissibilité des joueurs handicapés en vertu de la Règle 25 et le Formulaire de demande de la Règle 25.
  • Il n’y a aucune exigence d’index de handicap pour participer au championnat.

Si vous avez besoin d’aide pour accéder à votre adhésion à Golf Canada, veuillez composer le 1-800-263-0009, poste 399, ou envoyer un courriel à membres@golfcanada.ca.
  • Les joueurs étrangers doivent s’inscrire en tant que « non-membre ».
  • Après s’être inscrits, les joueurs seront répertoriés comme étant En attente. Le paiement ne sera pas traité tant que le golfeur ne sera pas passé dans la catégorie Accepté. N’oubliez pas de soumettre votre formulaire d’inscription bien avant l’échéance de 17 h (HAE) à la date limite des inscriptions. Les inscriptions en retard, incomplètes ou inexactes ne seront pas acceptées et ne relèvent pas de la responsabilité de Golf Canada.
  • Veuillez noter que Golf Canada n’accepte que les cartes de crédit (Visa, MasterCard et American Express) comme mode de paiement.

 

 

TABLEAU DE COMPÉTITION

Le Championnat canadien toutes capacités comptera un maximum de 84 golfeurs et golfeuses. Si le nombre de participants inscrits est insuffisant à la date limite, tous les joueurs admissibles seront acceptés. Si le tableau de compétition compte trop de joueurs inscrits à la date limite, le Comité de sélection de Golf Canada choisira les joueurs non exemptés au tableau. Golf Canada se réserve le droit de réviser le tableau de compétition des championnats en fonction des inscriptions reçues avant la date limite d’inscription de chaque tournoi.

FORMULE DE COMPÉTITION

Le Championnat canadien toutes capacités est un tournoi sur 36 trous avec des divisions au score brut en parties par coups et au score Stableford net pour les golfeurs et les golfeuses. Les joueurs sont automatiquement inscrits dans les deux divisions

  • Division au score brut en parties par coups : Cette compétition se disputera jusqu’à la conclusion du jeu sur 36 trous. Les joueurs doivent envoyer leur balle dans la coupe et inscrire un score sur chaque trou.
  • Division au score Stableford net : Ces compétitions se déroulement simultanément jusqu’à la conclusion du jeu sur 36 trous. Si un(e) participant(e) choisit de ne pas terminer le jeu d’un trou et ramasse sa balle, il ou elle sera retiré(e) de la division au score brut en parties par coups. Le décompte des points Stableford est indiqué ci-dessous :
    • 0 points : Score net de double bogey (ou plus de coups)
    • 1 point : Score net de bogey
    • 2 points : Score net de normale
    • 3 points : Score net d’oiselet
    • 4 points : Score net d’aigle
    • 5 points : Score net de 3 sous la normale
    • 6 points : Score net de 4 sous la normale

 

Jour 1 : Enregistrement, ronde officielle d’entraînement et réception des joueurs.

Jour 2 : Ronde 1 – 18 trous en partie par coups et Stableford

Jour 3 : Ronde 2 – 18 trous en partie par coups et Stableford (cérémonie de remise des prix immédiatement après le jeu)

 

 

PRIX ET PROLONGATIONS

Les 1ère, 2e et 3e places de chaque division recevront une médaille du championnat.  Le champion du Championnat canadien toutes capacités en stroke play doit avoir un laissez-passer de joueur WR4GD.

 

En cas d’égalité pour la victoire de la compétition au score brut en parties par coups et au score Stableford net, le départage se fera par prolongation trou-par-trou immédiatement après la fin du jeu réglementaire. Les équipes ou les joueurs à égalité pour d’autres positions resteront à égalité.

 

Si une prolongation s’impose dans les deux divisions, au score brut en parties par coups et au score Stableford net, le Comité de tournoi déterminera quelle prolongation disputer en premier. Si un joueur doit participer aux deux prolongations, des épreuves séparées auront lieu pour déterminer les gagnants.

 


POLITIQUE DE REMBOURSEMENT ET AVIS DE RETRAIT

Les frais d’inscription seront entièrement remboursés si Golf Canada est avisée (au 1-800-263-0009, poste 322) de l’intention du joueur de se retirer avant la date limite d’inscription. Une fois sélectionnés pour un championnat, les joueurs sont tenus d’y participer. Les frais d’inscription ne seront pas remboursés après la date limite d’inscription sans présentation d’un certificat médical. Les remboursements sont soumis à des frais d’administration de 50 $. Si un joueur souhaite se retirer avant le début d’un championnat, il doit en aviser Golf Canada bien à l’avance afin de donner une chance équitable à un remplaçant de jouer. À défaut de respecter cette obligation, le joueur s’expose à une DISQUALIFICATION des futures compétitions de Golf Canada.
