WELCOME TO THURSDAY NIGHT DIVAS AND DIVOTS

 

 

Members and non-members of all skill levels are welcome to our weekly fun Thursday-Night-after-work  night --  it’s an evening filled with fun and camaraderie.    The season starts on May 4th and will run until September 14. 

 

FORMAT You play your own ball.

 

CHECK-IN  for the event starts at 4:45 the day of play and goes until 5:15 –no need to sign-up in advance.  You can sign up as a team or as a single or double.  The organizers will call the starting hole numbers at 5:25.   

 

COST Non-members should pay the special green-fee rate of $29 (including GST) in the pro-shop prior to check-in. All players pay $2 fee to be entered into the draw prizes

 

OPTIONAL There are additional side games that you are welcome to join in:

• $2 Longest putt (2 holes) Winners receive a quarter of the money collected with the other half of the money going to running the event. 

• SNIPS There are three different handicaps for SNIPS: 0-20, 21-30 and 31+.  All monies collected are paid out to the winners unless everyone is snipped out, then it is carried over to the following week. 
• Pot of Gold is a deuce pot and is paid out when only one person scores a 2 on any hole.  This builds until there is a winner who then receives the full amount in the bin.  For 2023 the Pot of Gold Pot starts at $60 carried over from last season.   
• 50/50 Course Improvement Draw

 

DINING After golf, we head into the clubhouse for an evening of good food, drinks and great conversation.  Chef Charles puts on specials for the ladies to order or you can order off the menu.  You are welcome to eat before heading out or after golf, however we do ask that you order your food before golfing so that the kitchen staff can have everything ready to go when we come in off the course.  They also have a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to be purchased. 

 

PRIZES Each night we acknowledge the low gross, low net and low putt winners with a ball.  We call out the winners of the longest putts and SNIPS and give them their cash and let you know if anyone has won the Pot of Gold.  This is followed by the door prizes.  We have many businesses who sponsor our Thursday night event: 

Invis Pacific View Mortgages, The Hen and the Hog, Kathy Branch, Chinook Forest Products, The Thrifty Girl, the Soup Shack, Pharmasave, Mad Flowers, Sandy Tufnail and of course our own Pro Shop (9-hole green fee) and Clubhouse Restaurant (free meal).
