5th Pennsylvania Parent-Child/14th Father-Son Championship

Event Overview
Registration Opens: April 1 at 9 a.m.
Registration Closes: July 3 at 11:00 p.m.
Registration Fee: $490 per team (includes cart fees, range fees, lunches and prizes)
Format: Modified Chapman (Gross/Net)
Eligibility: Open to amateur (or limited number of professional) parent and child teams (biological, grandparent, adopted or a stepson), of which one member of a team must be a member of a Member Club or an individual member of the Pennsylvania Golf Association and who have a USGA Handicap Index. If the other player has a verifiable USGA handicap, the team may compete for net prizes; otherwise, they will be restricted to the gross competition only. A child must be at least 14 years of age to compete in either division.
NOTE: A parent or child may NOT compete twice in the competition with either a child or parent.
Teams with professionals will be permitted, however, professional players will be placed in their own division and the number of sides may be limited to six.
Divisions: Father-Son (Championship or Forward) & Parent-Child (Championship, Forward, or Professional)
Field: Limited to 60 teams (120 players), accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Cart/Caddie: Automotive transportation is required for this event, the fee of $35 per person per day is included with your entry fee and includes range balls.
Food & Beverage: A lunch buffet will be provided each day of competition from approximately 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is included in the entry fee. Additional F&B purchases will be available.
Practice Rounds: Call the Pro Shop at Toftrees to schedule a tee time.

Pairings: Play will be in foursomes. Final-round pairings will be determined by first-round scores. Teams will play with their division when possible.

Ties: In the event of a tie for the Championship flight Gross prize in any division, there will be a sudden-death playoff immediately following the conclusion of play.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the overall Gross and Net winners as well as Gross and Net winners for each flight.
The winners of the Championship flight of the Father-Son division will have their names engraved on The Davis Cup, named for Mr. William R. Davis, Jr., of Chambersburg CC, and his son Mike Davis, of the USGA.
Weather: Should weather delay play beyond the end of the day on the final round of competition day, the competition will not be extended and the championship will be shortened to 18-holes.
