Hello Tournament Players:

 

We are looking forward to hosting you Monday and Tuesday, January 9-10 at the historic San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, California for the San Diego Amateur (South), presented by Callaway Golf.

 

Below is some helpful information, including details on the opportunity to play a practice round at this private facility.

 

TOURNAMENT PORTAL

Pairings and results will be available on our Golf Genius portal, 2023sandiegosouth.golfgenius.com. We will have pairings for you no later than this Tuesday, January 3.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS

San Diego Country Club is offering its guest rate of $160 for practice rounds, which are available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (January 3-5) after 12:30pm. Call the pro shop at 619-422-0108 and identify yourself as a tournament player when making a tee time.

 

TEES

Championship Division: Blue (6684 yards)

Senior and Net Divisions: White (6354 yards)

 

TEE TIMES

We will tee off between approximately 8:00 and 10:00 am using both the 1st and 10th tees. The snack bar will be open as well as the driving range for you to warm up.

 

SCORING

All scoring will be electronic using Golf Genius. I encourage you to download the app if you don't have it already. Each group will be given a unique GGID to use when entering scores and we will verify at the scoring table after the round.

 

SCORE POSTING

We will post scores to GHIN after each round.

 

CADDIES AND CARTS

As with all of our events, caddies are allowed. Carts are optional and at the player's expense, but the course is very walkable. No spectator carts will be allowed.

 

PACE OF PLAY

San Diego Country Club is a private club and a 3-time USGA championship site, and we are essentially guests of the club. As with all of our events it is important to maintain a good pace of play.
