This tournament will be individual stroke play, with a twist. You will be allowed to bring just 3 clubs to play your round. The 3 clubs is any combination you choose and your putter is included in those three clubs. Gross and net payouts will be offered. Cost of entry is $30. Skins will be available for an additional $10, cash only.

Individual stroke play. Course will be turned into all par 3s. Gross and net will be paid. $5 (cash) hole in one insurance will be available. Entry will be $15

Individual stroke play. This is a three part tournament. We will pay out gross and net plus you will pick a player in the Masters' field and you play "best ball" with their Sunday scores. Entry is $30.

Individual, but scoring is as follows:

Hole-in-one: 5 points

Albatross: 5 points
Eagle: 4 points
Birdie: 3 points
Par: 2 points
Bogey: 1 point

Double bogey or worse: 0 points -- pick up your ball and move on

 

Entry is $30 plus $10 cash skins (optional)

Teams of 2. Each player hits their tee shots. You both get to hit from the best tee ball, but must play out your own ball from there. Best score between you two gets recorded.

High/Low Horserace Rules:

 

• 2-man teams are selected by dividing high/low handicaps down the middle into (2) groups.  Either the low handicap group will pull the names of the high handicap group out of a hat to pair the teams or vice versa.

*Note:  If there are an odd number of players, the player with the median handicap will play solo.

• The lower handicap players will be defined as the “A” player and the higher handicap will be defined as the “B” player.
• The round will be played using alternate shot rules. The tournament organizer will decide which nine will be played and will decide which player tees off on hole one.
• Players will alternate who tees off on each hole. If player A tees off on hole #1, player B will tee off on 2. This will continue throughout the round. On hole 9, teams will be allowed to decide which player will tee off.
• On the green, there is no lifting or marking of balls unless it will be in the way of a team playing from off the green.  Once every team is on the green, putts are played from the closest to the hole and out to the farthest. This allows for teams to not need to mark their balls and they will continue until they hole out because they should always be the closest once it is their turn.
• There are two types of payouts for skins:
  • Split the pot per skin
  • Each hole is worth 1/9th of the pot. If the hole is pushed, it “carries over” to the next hole. This continues until a skin is won. The team that wins that skin wins the sum of all carried over skins.
• Skins can only be won with par or better. Teams should pick up if they will not make a par or better on their next shot.

Teams of 2. Each player hits a tee shot. Both players hit a 2nd shot from their partner's ball. You then pick the best 2nd shot and play alternate shot from there. If you choose the 2nd shot from player A, then player B must play the 3rd shot.

Individual stroke play, but the course will be set up with ridiculous tee and pin placements. Gross and net will be paid.

Players will play their own ball throughout. After each hole, the player must decide if they would like the keep their score from that hole or not. Players must keep 5 holes. Scores will be based on score relative to par on their holes. Gross and net payouts will be awarded. Play back nine.

Each player will take their 9 hole handicap and add that to the course par (35) to establish their stroke allotment. Players will be given a flag with their allotted strokes and name written on it.When the player takes their final allotted stroke, they will place their flag in the ground where that stroke finished. Players who make it through more than 9 holes will continue to hole 10 and place their flag in the ground on hole 10. If the final stroke ends up OB or in a penalty area the flag must be placed where the stroke was made. All games are net. Play the front 9

This is a basic stroke play event, with a twist. On each hole, players are given one mulligan. If a mulligan is taken, the original ball is abandoned and may not be used. Gross and net payouts will be awarded. Play front 9

Teams of 2 with mixed formats:

Holes 7-12: Shamble
Holes 13-18: Best ball

Basic stroke play event but will be played from the red tees. This is a handicap recordable round. Play front 9 (Red tees)

Important notes: no walkups will be accepted. You MUST sign up to play. This Wednesday event will start at 5:00, not 5:30. Bets will open at 4pm

Players will be designated as A or B players based on handicaps. 2 man teams will be formed via random draw. Teams will play alternate shot. Holes 1-4 will be played in one large group. After 4 holes, a cut will be made (cut TBD based on field). Remaining teams will continue in the same format with cuts on holes 6 and 8. The remaining teams will compete for win/place/show on hole 9.

 

Paramutuel betting will be available for players and spectators.

No golf this week as we have traded the Ladies Club for their Thursday to run the Invitational Horse Race.

Players will form their own teams of 2. Players will both tee off on each hole and select the best drive. Both players will play from that spot. If not holed, the team will again select the best shot and play from that spot. Teams will continue this format through the hole, recording one score. 25% of the team's cumulative handicap will be given. Gross and net payouts will be awarded. Play back nine.

We’ll be teeing off the first day between 12:00pm-2:00pm. Everyone’s tee times will be determined based on your handicaps/flights. On the second day, we’ll be teeing off between 8:00am-10:00am in reverse order of your first day scores with the leaders teeing off last.

 

We’ll be running three evenly split flights. Once signups are closed, we’ll sort everyone by their handicaps and split into even groups. Assuming a full field of 72, this would mean 24 in each flight. The low gross player can come from any flight and will be crowned Club Champion. The low net player can come from any flight.
