Interclub results held August 24 at High Meadow Ranch.
We had 8 players representing Kingwood.
It was Cart Path Only on a record-breaking hot day, but HMR took good care of us passing out water and ice every 3 holes. All in all, the course is a jewel and it was an awesome day!
Team Kingwood placed 4th by earning 134 total Stableford points.
Kudos to Kingwood’s top four point winners!
Brenda Candelet 37 Points for the Team $25 third in Flight 5
Lisa Stults 34 Points for the Team $50 second in Flight 8
Bette McDermott 32 Points for the Team Fifth in Flight 4
Molly McNulty 31 Points for the Team $25 third in Flight 2
NEXT Interclub will be at Walden on Lake Conroe on Thursday September 28.
LOOKING GOOD IN OUR NEW TEAM OUTFITS!
Golf Committee requests donation to COK Charity Classic
The Club's Charity Classic Golf Tournament is scheduled for Friday September 8.
The Charity Classic is the club's official fund-raising charity event. 70% of the funds raised go to Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM), an interfaith organization that helps Northeast Harris and Eastern Montgomery County residents in crisis by providing essential resources to move towards self-sufficiency. 30% of the funds raised go to Employee Care Foundation (EPCF), a 501(c)3 established to help Employee Partners of our family of Clubs in need of financial assistance in times of crisis.
To help in the fund-raising effort, the COK Golf Committee (comprised of Association Presidents and COK golf leadership) will assemble a basket of goods for auction at the event and asks that each Golf Association contributes so they can so they can purchase items for the basket. Any amount helps and any amount is appreciated!!
Joan Rendl will be collecting any contributions during Playday check-ins Aug 22, Aug 29 & Sept 5 or contact her directly at 571-259-2240. She will compile the contribution from KWGA to the Committee. Look for a contribution box at your check-in location!

Do you have all of your Course Credits?
To be eligible for Year-End Awards you must play each course twice on Ringered Playdays. Do you know if you have earned enough course credits so far this year?
You can track which courses you have played this year that count for Course Credit on Golf Genius. This is how you do it.
Log into Golf Genius using GGID: KWGA18.
Go to Member Portal,
Go to Results,
Go to Player Analytics,
Select a Division: All Golfers,
Select a Series: All Ringered Events,
Then select Go. (this is important to select Go)
Then scroll and select your Player Name.
There you will see all the courses you played this year that qualify for Course Credit/Ringers. From that list you can determine if you have played each of the four courses at least twice.
There are still many Playdays left in the year so keep signing up to play!
The Summer Sun is still Burning Bright!
Don’t forget to Hydrate!
Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated. Don’t wait until you are thirsty. Try taking a drink after every hole. Supplement your water intake with sports drinks containing electrolytes when you are sweating for several hours.
