General Meeting was held May 9.
The General Meeting was kept short due to impending weather.
These are not the full minutes, but here are a few main points.
PLAYDAY CHAIR REPORT. If you make a correction in Golf genius, be sure to select “Save” before moving on. Remember to sign your paper scorecards, total your putts, indicate net score and circle chip-ins.
PAIRINGS CHAIR REPORT. If you must cancel after the noon Sunday deadline, cancelling earlier than later helps. Last minute cancellations may cause flights to not go well. On other than Playdays, players should be entering their scores in GHIN every time they play. If you make a mistake, contact Tim to correct a score in GHIN.
TOURNAMENT CHAIR REPORT. June 20 will be the KWGA18 Member Member 6/6/6 (No Follow The Field). You must sign up with a partner for this tournament. Reminder that there is no root rule in effect when we play in a paid tournament, you get free relief only on Playdays. (Though the Member Guest tournament on May 23-24 TBD)
NINE HOLE CHAIR REPORT. Reminder that once a 9-Hole player has reached 12 strokes, she must pick up her ball and mark her score as 12, taking 4 putts for that hole.
SOCIAL CHAIR REPORT. Plans are underway for the Spring Fling food and drink menu.
TREASURER REPORT: On April 18, the Board approved 2023 Budget.
INCOME Membership 166 x $55 $9,130
Surplus ($1500 of $2407 total surplus) $1,500
2023 Budgeted Income $10,630

Current KWGA membership is 169. 59 9-Hole and 110 18-Hole members.
MEMBER GUEST SPRING FLING REPORT. There is a full field of 96 players signed up. Volunteers are needed. You will earn a Volunteer point. Please Sign-up if you can help.
TSWGA REPORT: Texas Senior Women’s Golf Association annual Match Play Tournament was held April 30 – May 5 at Walden on Lake Conroe. Congratulations go to Nicole Goldman for winning the consolation match in 2nd Flight and Brenda Candelet winning in 6th flight.
May 9 Playday Results
KWGA18 had many cancellations from the original sign-up, but 19 players did start out hoping the weather would hold off. Though no one finished 18 holes so they did not have a stipulated round.
The 9-Hole League had more than their four needed to finish for it to count as a stipulated round so they have secret winners for their Senior/Super Senior Tournament.
KWGA18 Senior/Super Senior rescheduled to June 13.
Playday game will be “Blind Nine” on the Lake course. Everyone plays no matter their age and is eligible for regular Playday winnings. But one Senior (55-69) and one Super Senior (70+) will win low net. Those winners are kept secret until announced at the Year End Awards Brunch.
