Shotgun start time 9:00am. Playday game “Ace of Aces” on the Island.

 

Check-in at the tent from 8:00 to 8:40am.

 

 

Next DIVOT DAY is Wed April 5, 2023

This one will be for the Marsh Course. Sign up via Golf Genius.

 

Meet for Breakfast Tacos at 7:00 am in Tavern 91

Then head to course at 7:30 and usually done by 9:30

 

If you join with OFWW to fill divots in the fairways, bring a bucket and scoop for sand.

The KWGA ladies usually pick up trash broken tees on the Tee boxes and repair ball marks on the greens so bring a bucket, some gloves and a divot tool.

“Eclectic 2-day” on the Marsh

FORMAT:  Flighted stroke play.  Play 2 rounds of golf on same course.  You take the best score on each hole for the two days. 

 

TUESDAY:  Play and record the first round score and putts for each hole

Only Round 1 will count towards ringers and course credit. 

 

WEDNESDAY:  The Round 1 scorecard will be returned to you for Round 2.  You will be able to better the Round 1 score.  Record your score for Round 2.  On the corresponding line, record the best score for the two rounds.

IF YOU CANNOT BETTER THE ROUND 1 SCORE, PLEASE PICK UP.   If golf genius is used for scoring leave the score blank for that hole on day- DO NOT PUT X IN GOLF GENIUS.

Round 2 score posting to GHIN will be the player’s responsibility.  Review the rules of golf for posting a score when holes not completed.

 

PRIZES: Pro shop gift cards will be awarded to the OVERALL LOW GROSS and LOW NET winners (they will not be eligible for flight prizes).   1st Low Gross and 1st /2nd low net will be awarded in each flight  (this is subject to change depending on the number of entries).

 

ENTRY: $10 per player

 

TIES:  USGA tiebreaker rules will be in effect

 

This is a tournament, so NO ROOT RULE will be in effect per KWGA guidelines.

2023 Augusta National Women’s Amateur 

You can watch this tournament held Wednesday, March 29 - Saturday April 1, 2023.

 

The tournament will be played at Champions Retreat Golf Club in Evans, Ga., on Wednesday and Thursday before the field is cut to the top 30 players and ties. Friday will feature a practice round at Augusta National for all competitors inside and outside the cut. And on Saturday, the top 30 will tee it up for 18 holes at the famed Augusta National Golf Club where the world-renowned Masters takes place.

 

Defending champion Anna Davis is back in the field this week as she looks to become the first woman to go back-to-back in the event. She took the golf world by storm last spring as she put together a stellar final round — complete with her signature bucket hat — to become the second consecutive junior golfer to win the event.

 

For the first time in the tournament’s history, all 54 holes of competition will be televised live. Wednesday and Thursday at Champions Retreat will be aired on the Golf Channel from 1:30-3:30 p.m. ET, while Saturday’s final round at Augusta National will be on NBC from 12-3:30 p.m. ET.
