--- News for the 18 Hole League ---

 

 

Next KWGA activity: Tuesday Oct 31 on Island.

Playday game is “Stableford Points”.

 

Note: Check-In time is different on General Meeting days.  7:40-8:20.

 

GENERAL MEETING starts at 8:30am in Magnolia/Pine Room. Voting for the 2024 Slate of Officers will take place. Play will start 15 minutes after end of meeting.

 

 

 

 

KWGA Pink Tournament and Luncheon was a SUCCESS!!

67 ladies from the 18- and 9-hole leagues participated. It was a very pink day, with the pink worn by the ladies and our COK golf staff guys wearing pink shirts and all the hole flags were also in pink!

 

Many thanks and kudos to Angie Swanagon and Bev Henderson for spearheading this fun and very meaningful event.

 

Final tabulations are not yet released, but they tell us a LOT of money was raised for Project Mammogram and they are very grateful to everyone that contributed to make the event the success that it was.

 

 

 

KWGA Calendar Look-Ahead

 

Tues Nov 7: “Ace of Aces Playoff” on Island. Qualifiers will compete for the Year End Award and everyone else will compete as a regular Playday.  

 

Tues Nov 14: “Throw Out 6 Holes” on Forest

 

Wed Nov 15: Horse Race Playoff (top 10 contenders still being determined)

 

Tues Nov 21:  Turkey Shoot Scramble Tournament

 

Tues Nov 28: “ Consecutive Nine - Blind” on Lake.

In need of Course Credits?

Here are the remaining Ringered Playdays in the year for your opportunity to earn course credits.

Saturday Play

Sat Oct 28 – Lake

In order to play "legal" so that your score counts towards Year End awards and to receive course credit, you did not participate in the previous Tuesday playday (which includes starting but then withdrawing). There will need to be two "legal" players in a division (18 or 9) to count as a KWGA official Saturday Playday. Otherwise, you can play just for fun.

Deadline to sign up for legal play is by 6:00AM Friday.

Volunteers needed:

2-3 volunteers are needed to help set up for the gala on Saturday morning.

2-3 volunteers are needed to help distribute golfers swag on Sunday morning.

Not sure if volunteers are needed on Monday morning.
