Please enter scores and complete the round before posting scores to GHIN. Scores must be posted as a competition.
It's that time of year with some clubs having issues with not being able to field a team for health reasons. Lets be as kind as possible and understanding. All postponed matches must be completed by Feb. 17th
Remember we are playing to a locked in Low Index from Jan 1st, your low index may have changed but not in this event.
Captains, you should all have your match roster loaded for both teams to analyze and also confirm the tee being played. Any visiting Captain should have the match players loaded at least 48 hours in advance. You must contact hosting team captains ASAP with changes, Showing up at the club with last minute changes is completely unacceptable!
Last, pick up the pace. I'm still hearing a few stories of slow play. Let's Go, While we are Young!

Good Morning Captains,
Pace of Play
Throughout the regular season and playoff matches, the host club professional staff has the right to set a pace of play procedure that they will enforce!
We have already had a few instances, there is absolutely no reason a round of golf can't be played in 4:15 hours or less.
There have been some issues with my email account, as I have never sent this many emails before with the pictures and video clips, every email is listed on the portal for reference.
Please double check the standings and results, we have had multiple instances of captains wiping out previous weeks results by removing golfes from the wrong round.
Make sure that you are working in the proper round.
There is a calendar listed on the portal, start planning for a possible playoff match. That means communicating with the professional staff about the possibility.

Week one is just about in the books, for most of you, great job.

When you reply to this email I get buried with 50-70 emails and always miss one.
Please be aware of the round that you are working in!
In years past we have had captains access a previous round, remove players and wipe out results!
You will need to recreate the pairings and possibly enter all scores in again. Be Careful 
Double check all pairings and make sure the players are in the proper order by index!
Captains please post scores to GHIN once they are entered and the round is set to complete...
You can post all scores as a competition score.
Round Dates, Handicaps, Live Scoring...
Also there may be some issues with date of rounds in the past and you may need to set the date for a round...
That is in the round profile.

December 30th - Happy Holidays
Hope you all are doing well and have a chance to enjoy some of the Holiday.
Couple things...
Most of you have successfully logged into the portal and have been navigating to the Team Captain Menu. In the portal there is a Team Captain Help tab that I will continue to update with some guidance. All of the help clips are in a windows based laptop/desktop computer format, I have provided a few screenshots for Apple product users to find the hidden menu tab.
It's not mandatory to do so now but you may find a golfer or two who may not qualify based on the status of the GHIN record. After 12/31 those golfers without enough scores entered or actually active on the clubs GHIN roster will be out of luck.
Double Check your Course Details.
Most courses listed are correct. Many clubs have made changes over the last year, if so we may need to download the updated course from the Course Directory.
Lowest Index
All golfers will be updated in the early hours of January 1st to the Lowest Index. You will play to this low index for the entire regular season.
Some may not have 20 scores. Lowest Index depends on how many scores have actually been posted. 5.2 Calculation of a Handicap Index
I monitor all scores posted each week and will modify any golfer with an exceptional score...
Exceptional Score - A Score Differential which is at least 7.0 strokes better than the player’s Handicap Index at the time the round was played (see Rule 5.9 Submission of an Exceptional Score).

There is no immediate rush to add golfers to the Interclub roster, the previous communications were stating that the golfer must be on the clubs GHIN roster by 12/31.
If any groups start creating pairings, they may need to be updated when the Low Index is locked in on January 1st.
Round dates can be changed in the team captain site under the round profile.
I will be updating all courses this weekend, if you don't see your course in the pairings I just haven't got to it yet.
