SUMMARY
The Wales G4D Open is open to any golfer who has a long term illness, disability or infirmity. Maxiumum entries will be 39, 13 in each division. If one division does not fill then entries may be taken in the other divisions to a total maximum of 39.
Format
Players with a handicap index, as defined by WHS, can play in any of the three competitions; Strokeplay (Gross), Strokeplay (Net) or Stableford.
Divisions
Strokeplay Gross - Handicap Index 7.4 and below
Strokeplay Nett - Handicap Index 7.5 till 18.4
Stableford - Handicap Index 18.5 till 54
EDGA Registration
An EDGA Player Pass is not needed to initially enter the event but is needed to play in the Championship; passes can be applied for after entering as long as it is received prior to the Championship. Players can sign up for an EDGA player pass by clicking here. This has a simple three stage process;
1 Register with EDGA
Complete a simple registration form with your name, email address, password and agree to the EDGA GDPR policy. After you've verified your email address, you'll be able to logon to your personalised EDGA control panel.
2 Add your contact information
Includes country of residence, gender, date of birth and a recent head & shoulders photo. This will be used to help identify you at EDGA approved events and may also be used in the media especially if you do well in the world rankings.
3 Apply for your pass
Using a simple form, simply tick the category/s that best describes your disability, upload any supporting documentation, tick the consent boxes and submit your application.
