Welcome to the 68th Singles Championship
The tournament will be utilizing the Golf Genius Scoring System. ALL PLAYERS will be required to have their score recorded electronically as it happens. ONE PLAYER in each group can handle for all players.
Tournament format ~ All play is MEDAL play within divisions
Championship/First Division- Consists of anyone who signed up to play for Championship, players will “qualify” into the championship and first divisions. The top 18 scores AFTER 18 HOLES comprise the Championship flight while remaining players make up first division
2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th Divisions- were made with input from index, prior performance, and tournament committee
Senior Divisions- Consists of any player who signed up for Seniors (60+ as of tournament date). If applicable Divisions will be made with input from index, prior performance, and tournament committee. Senior Flight will be GROSS and NET.
ALL PLAYERS will play from BLUE TEES on FRIDAY
Championship/First will play GOLD TEES Saturday and Sunday
All other Divisions will play Blue Tees all weekend.
Playoffs-In the event of a tie for first place in any division (at completion of final round), players will enter a sudden death playoff. All subsequent ties will split.
Weather Delays/Information
In the event of inclement weather, the tournament committee will make every attempt to finish the 54 hole event. If we cannot complete an entire 18-hole round, the tournament will be decided via 9 hole stipulated rounds (IE: If weather cancels final round on the 15th hole, final results will revert to where players stood after opening 9 holes that day). All options will be explored, however the ENTIRE division MUST complete 9 holes in order to count in the tournament.
Weather Situations
ONE LONG HORN- Weather situation imminent, players DO NOT have option to finish the hole, mark your ball and seek shelter immediately
THREE SHORT BLASTS- Resume play
OPTIONAL SKINS GAME: $30 per player
All three days, there will be one Gross pool (two-tie-all tie) and one Net pool (two-tie-all tie). The Net pool will be full handicap, max of one shot per hole. If there are NO SKINS, they will be carried over into next day. If NO SKINS on final day, ALL EAGLES WILL BE PAID.
OPTIONAL Players Pool: $20 per player
At registration, players will have the opportunity to get into the Players pool for their flights. Players Pool is GROSS ONLY
1st – 40%
2nd– 30%
3rd– 20%
4th- 10%
Singles Meal Schedule
Friday- GRILL at 11am
Saturday- Sandwich Station at 11am
Sunday- Snacks at 11am
Pace of Play
It is expected that each group should finish their tournament round in 4:10. For the purpose of keeping pace, we will have monitors on the course. Here are a few guidelines to be aware of:
1) The Golf Pro will monitor pace of play and give a group a warning if they fall out of place (2:05 per nine holes)
2) If the entire GROUP remains out of place following the warning, each player will be subject to a one shot penalty
