Payment: This event has a handicap ballot. Card payment information will be collected and authorised at the time of registration, but your card will not be charged until players are successful in the ballot and confirmed in our system. This will usually be within the first few days following the entry deadline. Please update your card details in your Golf Genius account if they change between entry and this time.
COMPETITION SUMMARY
The Championship shall be open to male amateur golfers of all nationalities who meet the terms of competition available below.
Entry Qualifications
a) Entries will only be accepted from players with an official WHS Handicap Index of 3.0 or less held at an affiliated club to their National Union, or less or overseas equivalent.
b) Entrants holding both a United Kingdom WHS Handicap Index and an overseas equivalent must use their United Kingdom handicap information when entering.
c) Failure to enter in accordance with this condition will result in entry being denied.
It shall be played over 72 holes. 18 holes on day one and day two, the top 70 and ties will play a further 18 holes on day three and day four.
The Winner shall be the competitor who returns the lowest score over the 72 holes. In the event of a tie, there will be a hole by hole play-off over holes to be decided by the Championship Committee. Ties for all other places will be decided by the lowest score for the final 18 holes (or last 9, 6, 3 or 1 hole(s)). If a tie still exists, a hole-by-hole card play-off starting from hole 1 will be used.
A maximum of 156 competitors shall play in the Championship, held at Southerndown Golf Club.
