SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
- Sunday September 25:
- Practice Round tee times from 1:09 - 1:54 PM
- Welcome Dinner at golf course following practice rounds
- NOTE: Attire for dinner is golf attire. NO jacket required.
- Monday September 26:
- Morning (Four-Ball) matches from 7:00 - 7:45 AM
- Break for lunch
- Afternoon (Modified Foursome) matches from 12:33 - 1:20 PM
- Tuesday September 27:
- Individual matches from 7:27 - 8:12 AM
- Cobb-Whalen Cup awarded to winning team
HANDICAPS: All players will play to their current handicap indexes (H.I.) as of the morning of September 21, 2022. For different handicap allowances based on the different formats, please see the "Format" section below.
PROJECTED YARDAGE: Please note the yardages below are projected and may be subject to change on any or all days of the tournament for a variety of reasons including, but not limited to weather, course conditions, committee discretion, etc... NOTE: The scorecard below reflects the proper course rotation which will be Coyote Run (Front 9) - Desert Hawk (Back 9).
FORMAT:
- Three competition match play rounds consisting of:
- Four Ball (90% course HCP played off low player in pairing)
- Modified alternate shot where both team members hit from the tee, select the preferred tee shot, and the team member whose shot was not selected plays the next shot. The team members then alternate shots until the ball is holed. (40% of combined team course HCP played off lowest team HCP.
- Singles (100% course HCP played off lowest player of match)
- Scoring will be Ryder/Walker Cup format.
- Team win receives one (1) point.
- Team halve receives one half (1/2) point.
- Team loss receives zero (0) points.
- Winning Requirements
- 24 total points up for grabs
- 12.5 points required to win cup
- In the case of a 12-12 tie, the defending champions will retain the cup with the official result being declared a tie.
