Our entire staff is looking forward to welcoming you back to Diamante for this annual golf event. We are happy to invite you to sign up for our Club Championship.

 

This three-day competition will be open to Men and Women in a variety of handicap flights. Entrants to the Men’s Championship and Women’s Flight will attempt to dethrone defending champions Tyler Smith and Sobie Foody.

 

We anticipate a full field this year, and if we receive more applicants than we have the ability to accommodate, we will accept according to who has been a member at Diamante the longest.  We would like to get the field set by September 25th, so please have your applications back to us no later than Sept 21st.

The Club Championship will take place from Sunday, October 30th to Wednesday, November 2nd.

 

 Each participant will compete in one of the following divisions:

 

 

Divisions:

Tee I - Championship - Gross

Tee II - Men´s Gross

Tee III - Men´s Net

Tee IV - Senior Men´s Gross/Net (60+)

Tee V - Women´s Gross/Net

 

 

Format:

Each participant will play 36 holes of stroke play over Monday and Tuesday. The top 4 finishers in each of the divisions will qualify for the match play component of the event on Wednesday. Seniors and Ladies divisions will only have match play for gross flights. Participants who do not qualify for the match play component will still participate on Wednesday for a separate prize from the "Cash Buy-In Game."

Sunday

     On-site registration at DRC Court Yard and El Cardonal Tacos & Tortas

     Practice Round (tee time required).

     7:00 pm - Champions Welcome Dinner at Izzy's Restaurant

 

Monday - Dunes Course

     7:00 am - Slider Bar and Practice Facility opens for participants

     8:00 am - Tee times begin consecutively until approximately 11:00 am

   11:30 am - Lunch is available in the Sports Bar

 

Tuesday - El Cardonal Course

     7:00 am - Tacos & Tortas and Practice Facility opens for participants

     8:00 am - Tee times begin consecutively until approximately 11:00 am   

 

Wednesday - Dunes Course

     7:00 am - Slider bar opens for practice and breakfast

     8:00 am - Shotgun for semi-final matches and remainder of field

   ~1:00 pm - Match Play final matches begin

     5:30 pm - Awards Cocktails and hors d'ouevres at Izzy's Terrace

 

There will be an optional "Cash Buy-In Game" available to all players for US$ 150 that will pay out daily prizes within each divison. 

 

Due to the anticipated size of the field, we will not be able to accommodate specific caddie requests or multiple caddies in a single group. Every group will take a caddie to help keep a good pace of play ($35 per player)
