Additional Local Rules and Conditions for the 2018

US Women’s Open Championship Sectional Qualifier

 

TRANSPORTATION: Players must not ride on any form of transportation during a stipulated round unless authorized by the Committee.

*Penalty for Breach of Condition:

Stroke play - Two strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred; maximum penalty per round - Four strokes (two strokes at each of the first two holes at which any breach occurred). *Use of any unauthorized form of transportation must be discontinued immediately upon discovery that a breach has occurred. Otherwise, the player is disqualified. 

**The Arizona site has been special exemptions for caddies to ride in a cart. If you would like to reserve a cart for your caddie please contact Erin Groeneveld at erin@awga.org

 

 

GOLF BALLS; DRIVER HEADS: Only brands of golf balls on the most current USGA List of Conforming Golf Balls and driver heads on the most current USGA List of Conforming Driver Heads may be used. Updated lists may be found on the USGA website at www.usga.org or by contacting the USGA Technical Department at (908) 234-2300.

**The so-called “One-Ball Rule,” the optional condition prescribed in Appendix I of The Rules of Golf, will be in effect.

Appendix I Part B I (i)”One Ball” Condition

During a stipulated round, the balls a player plays must be of the same brand and model as detailed by a single entry on the current list of Conforming Golf Balls

 

Note: If a ball of a different brand and/or model is dropped or placed it may be lifted, without penalty, and the player must then proceed by dropping or placing a proper ball (Rule 20-6).
