Eligibility: Players on the Pending List for the Veritex Bank Byron Nelson Junior Championship will be eligible to sign up for the Monday Qualifier beginning Friday, May 20, 2022 at 9:00 AM through Golf Genius. The qualifier is open to the first 42 players that complete registration. Players will need an active membership with Texas Junior Golf Alliance Partner to compete in the Veritex Bank Byron Nelson Junior Championship.
Format: Qualifying is scheduled for 18 holes of individual stroke play at approximately 6,800 yards.
Playoff: Ties for the last qualifying spot shall be broken by a sudden death hole-by-hole playoff. There will be no playoff for medalist honors. The playoff will begin at 3:00 PM off the No. 1 tee.
Pairings/Tee Time Information: Tee times will begin off No. 1 at 8:30 AM. Tee Times/Pairings will be available at www.txga.org by June 3, 2022 and emailed out to the qualifying field.
Practice Round Information: Players will not be permitted a practice round for the Monday qualifier. The qualifier will serve as the practice round for the Veritex Bank Byron Nelson Junior Championship for those that qualify.
Practice Facilities: The Driving Range and Putting Greens at Lakewood Country Club will open at 7:30 AM on Monday, June 6. Players must not arrive at the club more than one hour before their starting time.
Registration Information: There is no registration for the qualifier. Players should be at the No. 1 tee 10 minutes before their starting time.
Transportation / Caddies: Players and caddies are prohibited from riding in a cart. Caddies are permitted for the qualifier but a parent or legal guardian cannot caddie for the qualifier or the tournament.
Spectator Carts: Carts will NOT be available for spectators during the tournament or qualifying round.
Rules of Golf: Play shall be governed in accordance with the Rules of Golf of the United States Golf Association, as modified by the Legends Junior Tour Rules and Terms of the Competition card and supplemented by the Notice to Players. Questions or disputes (including equipment rulings) shall be settled by the on-site Rules Committee appointed by the Legends Junior Tour, whose decision shall be final.
Weather Cancellation: All efforts will be made to complete the qualifying round on the day of the competion. If the qualifying round cannot be completed due to weather, the four qualifying spots will be awarded through a random draw from the qualifying field list.
Withdrawal Policy: If you cannot make your qualifying round, please inform the LJT offices. If a player withdraws after the entry deadline has passed, the player will not receive a refund unless the spot is filled by a waitlisted player (See LJT Policies and Procedures).
Score Posting: Once the qualifying round has concluded, the LJT will post all tournament scores to your GHIN number.
