Welcome to the 2022 NSGA Men's Mid-Amateur Championship!

 

Sincerest thanks to General Manager Donnie Rowe, Head Professional Jamie MacIntosh and Course Superintendent Michael Donovan for all of their hard work thus far and for hosting this championship.  Lingan Golf Club is in wonderful condition and I am confident that all will enjoy the course and the facility.

 

Yardage:

Mainly Lingan White Tee golf course with a sprinkling a Blue Tees.

 

Practice Round:

You may phone the Pro Shop (902) 562-1112 beginning tomorrow (Thursday, July 14) at 10am to reserve a practice round time.  A practice round may be played on any day prior to Friday, July 22 and outside of normal course activities (Ladies' Day, Men's Night etc.).  If you do play a practice round and need to withdrawal from the event, a corresponding Lingan green fee with be subtracted from your refund.

 

Caddies:

Caddies are welcomed and please give us your caddie's name at registration on Friday morning.

 

Spectators:

Spectators are welcomed.  We ask for all spectators to keep a reasonable distance from the competitors.  Spectators are not allowed to take a motorized cart onto the golf course during competition.

 

Cart Use:

Competitors are allowed to use a cart during competition.  Using a cart during competition will make you ineligible for a placement on Team NS and a quota spot for the National Mid-Am Championship.

 

Drug and Alcohol Use:

If a situation arises, we will handle it through our Misconduct Policy.  Players, caddies and spectators MUST respect their fellow competitors, the golf course, the facility, the staff and the volunteers.

 

Draw:

We will use a split tee draw all three days.  Starting times will be 7:30am-9am and 12pm-1:30pm, from both #1 and #10 tees.  Saturday's draw will be the reverse of Friday's draw with the same pairings.  Sunday's draw will be created by the two-day scoring.

 

Please note that there is significant highway construction near Antigonish and so if travelling through that area, please give yourself a little more time.

The field will be limited to 144 competitors.

 

REGISTRATION FEE: $195 (HST included)

 

REGISTRATION CLOSED: July 10, 2022 at 9:00pm

 

PRACTICE ROUND: Included in the registration fee.  Details TBA.

 

ELIGIBILITY: 

 

  • Golfers must be at least 25 of age as of 07/22/2022

 

  • Division: Mid-Amateur - Male golfer must be at least 25 years of age as of 07/22/2022

 

  • Division: Mid- Master - Male golfer must be at least 40 years of age as of 07/22/2022

 

 

Registration for exempt players will open at 9:00am on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.  Registration for all eligible competitors will open on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 9:00am.
