2022 Tuesday Night League

“Old Pal” Format

Field: 2 Player Teams / 50 Teams / 5 Brackets

Teams will play each team in their bracket. Teams with the most combined points at the conclusion of the season will be the bracket winner. They will then enter the playoff season. Eight teams will compete in the quarterfinals, winners will then play in the semi-finals, and finally the final two teams will play in the championship match on Championship Stag Night, Tuesday, September 6th.

Format: Better Ball of Partners

Matches will consist of a possible 9 points. One point for each hole (9 pts). Teams with the most combined points at the end of the regular season will enter the playoffs. It will be single points for the first 8 weeks, then double points for the last seven weeks. Tuesday Night League will run from May 3rd  to August 16th, 2022. Playoffs will begin on August 23rd with the Championship Stag Night on September 6th.

Handicaps: Players will receive 100% of their current CDGA handicap. Matches will play off the low handicap.

Tees: Teams must declare which tees (Blue, White, Green or Gold)) they plan to play from before the start of the season. Players must be qualified to play from the Gold or Green Tees under tournament tee rules.  They will then remain on the chosen tees for the entire season unless they become unqualified under the tournament tee rules. Substitutes must declare before their first match and remain there for the entire year unless they become unqualified under the tournament tee rules.  

All matches must be played as scheduled. Teams may select a sub from the sub pool or find a sub. Subs must be a golfing member with a CDGA handicap and not a member of another team. All subs will be charged $10 for each match they are used (max $30). A sub may not represent a team for any match. Teams will receive 5 points for no-shows, but will have the opportunity to increase that by their play that evening. Team shooting a net 3 under = 5 ½, net 5 under = 6, net 7 under = 6 ½, net 9 under = 7 total points for the team.  A marker or another team will play with teams trying to increase their point total. The no-show team will receive 2 points.

Playoffs: 8 Teams Qualify

• Playoffs will begin on Tuesday, Aug 23rd
• Qualifying teams are as follows: Bracket Winners and Two Wild Card Team
  • Two Wild Card team will be the team finishing in 2nd place of their respected bracket and have the most points of any 2nd place team.
• Ties for bracket winners or runner ups will be determined by prior head to head matches. If teams still remain tied the teams will then have a chip-off on Tuesday, August 23rd prior to the start of the playoffs.            
• Championship Match and 3rd Place Match will be held on the Championship Stag Night, Tuesday, September 6th.

Keeping Score: Groups should keep the match scores on the Golf Genius App using the GGID code for that match. The paper scorecard is the official score of the match.
