FIELD LIMIT
96 players – 48 Amateur and 48 Mid-Amateur
The PNGA reserves the right to modify either field limit after the entry deadline to achieve a full field of 96 players. The field filling process can be found in each championship’s entry form link above.
ENTRY DEADLINE
Entry applications, along with the appropriate fee, must be completed or received by the PNGA by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2022.
REFUND POLICY
Refunds due to cancellation before the close of entry are subject to a $10 service charge. After the close of entry and up until round one pairings are released, refunds for documented and approved medical reasons are subject to a $25 service charge. No refund for any reason will be issued after round one pairings have been released.

Course yardage is subject to change based on weather/course conditions. Hole-by-hole yardages are included at the end of this document.

ONSITE REGISTRATION
All contestants must register in person with the PNGA at Salishan Golf Links prior to starting round one play. Registration will be located outside the golf shop during the following times:
SUNDAY, JULY 10: 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
MONDAY, JULY 11: 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS
Round one and two starting times (stroke play qualifying) will be released on Monday, June 27. Preferred starting time requests will not be accepted. Starting times will be posted on the PNGA website (thepnga.org), on the Championship Portal and will be emailed to each player.
SCHEDULE (AMATEUR)
STROKE PLAY: 36-hole stroke play to determine 32 qualifiers for match play. A tie for lowest qualifying scorer or the last qualifier’s place will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole play-off after the final group finishes on Tuesday, July 12.
MONDAY, JULY 11 (Round 1): Starting times from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
TUESDAY, JULY 12 (Round 2): Starting times from 7:30 a.m. – 9:20 a.m.
MATCH PLAY: A draw based on qualifying scores will be used. Ties in qualifying rounds will be decided by a blind draw, except that places of those participating in a play-off will be determined by performance in the play-off.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 13 (Round of 32): Starting times from 7:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 13 (Round of 16): Starting times from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
THURSDAY, JULY 14 (Quarterfinals): Starting times from 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.
THURSDAY, JULY 14 (Semifinals): Starting times from 12:30 p.m. – 12:40 p.m.
FRIDAY, JULY 15 (Finals): Starting time at 7:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

PRACTICE ROUND
Contestants may play one complimentary practice round prior to the championship. Practice rounds will be available on Sunday, July 10 after 12:00 p.m. for out of town contestants. Local contestants can play a practice round in the two weeks prior on a space available basis. All practice round starting times are at the discretion of the golf shop staff. Tee times can be made by calling the Salishan Golf Links golf shop at (541) 764-3666, beginning on June 21 after the entries have closed and the field is set.
FOOD SERVICE (No-Host)
Food service will be available at the Hooks & Slices Restaurant each day from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, along with snack items and beverages. Players will be able to access the restaurant when making the turn.
BOTTLED WATER
The PNGA will provide bottled water during the championship. Coolers will be at multiple locations on the golf course. A beverage cart will not be on the course during play.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
Salishan GL accepts all major credit cards and cash as methods of payment.
HOURS OF OPERATION
The golf shop and driving range will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
RANGE BALLS
Warm up range balls will be provided to contestants on the driving range before each round.
CARTS
Carts will be available to Mid-Amateur participants for $20 per cart per day and will be collected by the PNGA during registration for Stroke Play Rounds. Mid-Amateur’s that advance to Match Play will pay cart fees directly the golf shop, each day.
Women’s Amateur Championship - The Local Rule prohibiting the use of motorized transportation as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect.
SPECTATOR CARTS
To provide an equal championship platform for all competitors, the use of carts by spectators is not permitted by the PNGA.
CHAMPIONSHIP ACCOMMODATIONS FOR DISABLED SPECTATORS
The PNGA is committed to providing an enjoyable spectator experience for people with disabilities at PNGA championships. Requests from spectators seeking transportation onto the golf course due to a permanent disability, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), should be submitted one week in advance to the PNGA Championship Department. While spectator carts may not always be available at each site, the PNGA will make every effort to accommodate these requests when available.
Generally, an ADA covered disability is defined as a “physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of the individual”. See, 42 USCA §12102. Spectators with a “temporary” injury or impairment that is not an ADA disability will not be allowed use of a golf cart under this Policy.

PULL CARTS
Host club pull carts will be not be available. Players can provide their own pull carts.
CADDIES
Host club caddies will not be available. A player may provide her own caddie. Caddies will be required to wear a caddie bib provided on the starting tee.
PRIZES
Amateur: Crystal prizes will be awarded as follows:
Stroke Play – A crystal medallion will be awarded to the qualifying Medalist. The Medalist’s name will also be engraved on the Liz Culver Perpetual Trophy.
Match Play – Crystal awards will be presented to the Champion, Runner-up and Semifinalists. The Champion will have her name engraved on the PNGA Women’s Amateur Championship Perpetual Trophy.
Mid-Amateur: Crystal prizes will be awarded as follows:
Stroke Play – A crystal medallion will be awarded to the qualifying Medalist.
Match Play – Crystal awards will be presented to the Champion, Runner-up and Semifinalists. The Women’s Mid-Amateur Champion will also have her name engraved on the PNGA Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship Perpetual Trophy.
Awards will also be given to any contestant who scores a hole-in-one or eagle during the stroke play qualifying rounds.
AWARDS CEREMONY
An awards ceremony will take place on the putting green after play is completed in each championship at approximately 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15.
EXEMPTIONS
The Champion of the Women’s Amateur Championship will receive an exemption into the 2023 PNGA Women’s Amateur Championship.
The Champion of the Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship will receive an exemption into the 2023 PNGA Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship.
PERFORMANCE POINTS
Performance points may be awarded for the PNGA Women’s Amateur and Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship through the player’s respective state or provincial association.
GHIN SCORE POSTING
The PNGA will post competition scores during stroke play qualifying for all players to the USGA GHIN System. Stroke play scores will be submitted to BC Golf for posting in Canada. Players should post their adjusted match play scores.
DRESS CODE
Players and caddies must be neat in appearance with respect to personal grooming and clothing while on host club property. The PNGA Dress Code Policy is available at the following link: thepnga.org/championship-home/championship-policies/ and will be provided to all players, along with any additional measures required by the host club, in the Player Memorandum.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The PNGA expects all contestants, caddies, gallery, and guests to exhibit proper conduct and behavior on the golf course and anywhere on club property during a PNGA Championship. Unbecoming conduct or behavior may be grounds for immediate disqualification, at any time, from any PNGA event. The following are some examples of unbecoming conduct or behavior:
- Repeated use of loud, abusive, and/or profane language
- Throwing and/or breaking equipment (club, ball, etc.) in anger or frustration
- Damaging host club, PNGA, and/or fellow contestant property
- Public criticism or verbal abuse of host club, officials, volunteers or staff, and/or PNGA volunteers, staff or fellow contestants
- Potential endangerment of others
- Intentionally violating stated club policy
- Violation of PNGA Dress Code and/or Footwear Policy
- Other conduct deemed unbecoming
The Committee in charge of the competition shall be the sole judge of determining Conduct Code violations.
UNOFFICIAL WITHDRAWAL
After the entry deadline and during play of the championship, players must notify the PNGA and state her need to withdraw. Entrants who unofficially withdraw (by not notifying the PNGA or without having sufficient reason) will not be granted entry into any future PNGA Championship for a minimum of two years.
PACE OF PLAY POLICY
Players are encouraged to be familiar with the PNGA’s Pace of Play Policies: Stroke Play, Match Play, which are in effect at all championships.
LOCAL RULES AND TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
Players are encouraged to be familiar with the PNGA’s 2022 Local Rules and Terms of the Competition, which will be in effect at all championships.
PROHIBITED USE OF AUDIO EQUIPMENT
Rule 4.3 is modified in this way: During a round, a player is not allowed to use an electronic device to listen to music or other audio (such as podcasts or the like), including by using speakers, headphones or earbuds. Penalty for breach of Local Rule - see Rule 4.3.
