Please review the below information regarding the 2022 Holiday Junior Classic at Pine Tree Country Club on December 27-28, 2022. Tournament Tee Times:
First round pairings will be published no later than December 24, 2022 on the tournament website and will be sent via email. Final round pairings will be published on the tournament website and sent via email shortly after the conclusion of the first round.
Weather Delays:
All weather delay announcements will be communicated as soon as possible via text, email and on posted to the tournament website.
Practice Facility
The driving range will open one hour before the first tee time and will remain open throughout the day. A nominal fee may be charged by Pine Tree Country Club for hitting range balls after a player’s round.
Starting Point Defined
For the purpose of applying Rule 5.3a (When to Start Round), the starting point for hole #1 and hole #10 is defined by rope, blue paint, blue dots, blue lines, orange hash marks, and/or stakes. If more than one area is defined, the area with the starter or starter's equipment is official.
Golf Genius App, Live Scoring & Leaderboard
Players are encouraged, but not required, to download the Golf Genius app. With this app, players can enter scores using the app and can review the leaderboards in real time.
Scorecard
The scorecard distributed by the starter or Committee shall be the official scorecard for play, as defined by the Rules of Golf. Scores maintained in other areas (spectator's notes, player's notes, Golf Genius app, etc.) are unofficial.
Returning Scorecard
For purpose of applying Rule 3.3b(2) (Player Responsibility: Certifying Hole Scores and Returning Scorecard), a player’s scorecard is considered returned when the player has completely left the defined scoring area with both feet.
Dress Code
Pine Tree Country Club permits all current trends and traditional forms of golf attire. For males, this includes, but is not limited to, Bermuda length and style shorts or golf slacks, and golf shirts with a collar. For females, this includes, but is not limited to, Bermuda length and style shorts, golf slacks, golf skirts, and skorts. Long-sleeve turtlenecks, long sleeve mock-neck shirts, and appropriate rain-gear are also permitted if weather-appropriate. T-shirts, gym shorts, jeans, tank tops, and mid-riffs are all prohibited.
Acceptable footwear include tennis shoes, smooth bottomed shoes and golf shoes with soft spikes or 'soft' soles; cleats for other sports (baseball, soccer, track, etc.) and metal golf spikes are prohibited.
Withdrawal Policy
A player or players may withdraw from the event prior to the official close of entries for a 100% refund. A player or players may withdraw from the event prior to the official publishing of first round tee times for a 100% refund less $20. Once the tee times have been officially been published for the first round, no refund will be given. 100% refunds will be given if the entire event is cancelled.
Other Information
1. The USGA Rules of Golf effective January 2019 will be in effect. Additional conditions, including conditions related to Covid-19 may also be in effect as deemed necessary.
2. All players must walk at all times during the round, including between holes.
3. Distance measuring devices will be allowed provided they do not measure anything besides distance (wind, slope, temperature, etc).
4. No caddies; push-carts are permitted.
5. Pine Tree Country Club does not accept CASH as a form of payment.
